Electronics and appliance stores · Email marketing

Email is the second phone in a shop that runs on WhatsApp.

Email is not where an appliance buyer lives, so it does one narrow job: the warranty record, the quotation for a bulk buyer, the household that stopped reading chat. GullySales builds that list from your billing data and writes the handful of mails worth sending in a year.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For electronics and appliance stores

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Offices, hostels and builders answer on email”

A paying guest owner buying eight air conditioners wants a quotation with GST on a letterhead and a delivery schedule. That conversation belongs in a mail trail, not a chat window.

  • “The warranty mail is the one people keep”

A mail carrying the invoice, the serial number, the warranty end date and the service numbers gets saved and searched years later. It is also why your address is in the inbox when you write again.

  • “Two sends a year, not two a week”

A household buys a large appliance every few years, so a weekly catalogue only teaches them to ignore you. The exchange season and the festival scheme are enough.

  • “The address is asked for at billing or never”

Nobody hands over an email after they have left the shop. The billing screen is the one moment to ask, with a reason the customer believes.

What we do

What we deliver for electronics and appliance stores.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list built from your own bills

Names, numbers and addresses taken from billing records, sorted by what the household bought and when each warranty ends.

Result: You can write to people who already trust the shop.

  2. The warranty and invoice mail

A mail after every sale carrying the invoice, serial number, warranty dates and the numbers to call for service.

Result: Customers keep your mail, so your address stays in their inbox.

  3. A quotation format for bulk buyers

A letterhead quotation with GST details, delivery schedule, fitting terms and payment terms for offices, hostels and builders.

Result: A bulk enquiry gets an answer that can be circulated.

  4. Two seasonal sends a year

One before the exchange and summer season, one before the festival, each carrying the scheme and the fitting slots still open.

Result: People open the mail because it is rare and useful.

  5. Consent recorded apart from the sale

A separate tick at billing for offers, kept distinct from the invoice mail, with an unsubscribe line in every send.

Result: The list stays clean and people stay willing.

  6. Replies routed to the enquiry phone

Mail replies checked daily and entered in the same enquiry book as calls and WhatsApp messages.

Result: A bulk order does not sit unopened in an old inbox.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What an appliance store needs in place before it emails customers.

Addresses taken at billing with permission
Ask for the address when the bill is raised, say it is for the warranty record and invoice copy, and tick a separate box for offers. Most customers give a phone number, so do not insist on email.
A warranty record that can be mailed
Keep each customer's product, model, serial number, invoice date and warranty end in your billing software so a reminder can quote them exactly. Without the record, there is nothing to send.
Bulk and institutional buyers on their own list
Offices, clinics, guest houses and builders who buy several units need a written quotation with model numbers, GST and delivery terms. Keep them apart from household customers, who want WhatsApp.
A brand-authorised service route
Say clearly in the mail who handles a warranty claim: your service centre, the brand's service line, or both. Customers write back with a fault, and the reply must point to the right door.
A reason to write in every mail
A warranty ending, an extended-cover offer or a bulk-buyer quote is a reason. A general festival offer sent to a household that stopped reading chat is not, and pushes people to the spam button.

Who it is for

This is written for these electronics and appliance stores.

  • Multi-brand consumer electronics showrooms
  • Home appliance stores
  • Mobile phone and accessories retailers
  • Home theatre and audio specialists
  • Telecom counters selling SIM, broadband and DTH connections
  • Brand-exclusive stores run by franchisees
  • Kitchen appliance and small appliance retailers
  • Electronics stores with service and repair centres

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your billing records hold no email addresses and the counter will not ask for one, so there is no list to write to
  • Most of your customers answer only on the phone or WhatsApp, and a first project here belongs there

How it works

How the email marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, what they agreed to, and how long since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We read past campaign reports, your sending domain settings and any spam complaints to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into groups and a sending calendar is agreed, with a rule for unsubscribes and quiet addresses.

  4. 4

    Write and set up

Emails are written, checked and scheduled in your email tool. Welcome and nurture emails are set to send on a trigger where that fits.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We read clicks, replies, enquiries and complaints by segment, and change subject lines, timing and content to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is email worth it when everybody answers WhatsApp?
For a retail household, barely. For the office, the hostel and the builder buying in bulk, it is where the quotation and the purchase order live. Keep the list small and use it for two or three sends a year.
How do we collect addresses without annoying people?
Ask at billing and say why: the invoice and warranty copy go to their inbox. Most people give it for that reason. Record permission to send offers separately, because the two are not the same thing.
Do we have to ask for email when most people give a phone number?
No. Ask once, politely, and explain that the invoice and warranty copy go by email. A customer who declines still gets the paper bill and WhatsApp. Never make an address mandatory, and never invent one.
Can we email a mobile phone buyer about accessories?
Only if they agreed to offers at billing. A short note about a case or charger that fits the model they bought is relevant. A generic discount list to the whole customer file is not, and will draw complaints.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
