Tax consulting firms · Email marketing

A document list sent in June is worth more than any campaign.

Email for a tax firm goes mostly to the clients you already have: due dates, document lists, and a note in June to whoever did not come back last season. GullySales sets that schedule against the filing calendar, splits the list by entity type, and measures replies against engagements signed.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For tax consulting firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • June is when last season's client is reachable

Write in July and he has already gone to somebody else. Write in June and he has not thought about it yet.

  • A company and a salaried client need different mail

Monthly returns matter to one and nothing before June matters to the other, and a single list sent to both teaches everyone to ignore you.

  • The mail that works is a list, not a letter

Bank statements, purchase register, rent receipts, Form 16. An owner forwards that to his accounts person, and your name goes with it.

What we do

What we deliver for tax consulting firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A reminder schedule set to the due dates

Notes going out ahead of each monthly, quarterly and annual filing, carrying the date, what is needed and who it applies to.

Result: Clients stop being reminded by a penalty.

  2. Document checklists attached to each reminder

The list of papers for that filing, ready to forward to whoever keeps the books, sent with the reminder instead of a fortnight after it.

Result: Papers arrive before the last week.

  3. A June note to last season's clients

A short message to every client who filed with you last year and has not been in touch, sent before the season starts.

Result: A quiet client is caught before he goes elsewhere.

  4. Lists split by entity and by service

Companies, firms, individuals, NRI clients and GST-registered traders kept apart, so nobody gets a due date that is not theirs.

Result: Open rates stop falling every month.

  5. A note on the rest of the work after a filing closes

A message once an engagement finishes, describing the other matters the firm handles, written as description rather than as a pitch.

Result: Existing clients learn what else you take on.

  6. Replies read against engagements signed

Monthly reporting on who replied, who came back and what was signed, set beside the retention figures recorded at the start.

Result: Email is judged on clients kept.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for tax consulting firms

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how clearly your site addresses real tax situations, how fast enquiries are answered during filing season, and where your referrals actually come from.

  2. 2

    Build trust with problem-led content

Pages addressing GST notices, approaching deadlines and common tax situations in the plain terms an anxious business owner actually searches for.

  3. 3

    Speed up the response

A same-day reply routine, particularly for urgent notice-related enquiries where a fast, clear answer decides who gets hired.

  4. 4

    Bring clients in

Search visibility and referral relationships with bankers, other professionals and satisfied existing clients.

  5. 5

    Keep clients through filing seasons

Deadline reminders sent ahead of time and a review rhythm that catches renewal conversations before a client drifts away.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a reminder to an existing client treated as advertising?
A service message to your own client and a solicitation aimed at the public are usually looked at differently. Where the line falls is set by your institute or council. Your partner reads the wording first, especially anything describing other services.
How often should the firm write to clients?
Around the due dates that apply to them, and once in June. For most clients that is under ten mails a year. A monthly newsletter about tax news gets ignored by the third one.
Do we need to advertise?
Not at first. A page that explains a GST notice reaches the owner who is searching for it today, with no media spend. Paid search helps for a short push, such as the fortnight before the July income tax deadline.
We are chartered accountants. Are we even allowed to market the firm?
Within limits. ICAI's Code of Ethics restricts how a CA in practice can advertise or solicit clients, and ICAI publishes guidelines on what a firm website may carry. We write explanatory pages inside those limits, with no claims of superiority, and your partner checks the copy before it goes live.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
