Accounting software providers · Buyer persona

Write down the owner, the munim and the CA as three different buyers.

A buyer persona for an accounting software provider is a written description of the people involved in a purchase: who pays, who enters the data and who checks the output. GullySales works on drawing those people from your own calls, trials and lost deals so the team sells to each of them properly.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For accounting software providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The owner pays and the munim lives with it”

The owner asks about price and whether the CA approves. The munim asks about keyboard shortcuts and how long a day-end takes. Each persona has a different first question, and a single pitch answers only one.

  • “The CA is a gatekeeper with a reputation at stake”

A recommendation that goes wrong lands on the accountant's desk at return time. The CA wants clean exports, an audit trail and support that picks up the phone. They are not asking for a discount.

  • “The trade changes the persona”

A pharmacy owner worries about expiry and schedule drugs. A building contractor worries about running bills and retention. Persona sheets per trade stop the sales team reading the same script to every shop.

  • “The shopkeeper's family has a say”

A son back from college or a nephew with a phone may start the search, and an older owner may decide. Naming that influencer in the persona explains why a trial begins at home and not at the counter.

What we do

What we deliver for accounting software providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Three persona sheets

One each for the owner, the accountant and the CA, built from your last calls and lost deals.

Result: Three sheets, each with first question, fear and proof wanted.

  2. Trade variants of the owner sheet

Short additions for the trades you serve best, naming their billing quirks.

Result: Sales has a trade note ready before the call.

  3. A decision map for a typical purchase

Who raises the need, who trials, who approves and who signs off, drawn from your own closed deals.

Result: A one-page map of the buying path.

  4. Objection notes by role

The doubts each persona raises, with answers that your team has actually used.

Result: Each role has its own objection list.

  5. A tagging scheme for the CRM

Fields recording role and trade on every contact.

Result: Pipeline reports can be cut by role and trade.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How do we build a persona without inventing one?
Use conversations: sales calls, support tickets, trial drop-offs. Write only what you have heard. A persona made from guesses is a document nobody trusts.
How many personas are enough?
Start with the three roles and add trades as you sell into them. More than that becomes a document nobody reads.
Should dealers have a persona too?
Yes. A dealer wants margin, prompt support and a product they can demonstrate. Treat the dealer as a buyer of your partnership.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
