Engineering R&D and embedded systems service companies · Search engine optimisation

Appear when an engineer searches for the exact capability they lack.

SEO for an engineering services firm means appearing for specific technical searches, such as a firmware port, a board redesign or a test setup, in the words an engineer or product head uses. GullySales plans the pages and technical work behind that.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For engineering R&D and embedded systems service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Engineers search by task and toolchain”

A search for a named controller family with a particular real-time operating system is how a design lead finds a partner. A general embedded page does not answer it. Pages named for the controller family, the operating system and the task, such as a bootloader port or a driver bring-up, match that query word for word.

  • “Capability lists look the same on every site”

A list of languages and tools carries no meaning for a search engine or a buyer. A page on a solved problem is different. Say which board was brought up, which fault was isolated and how the fix was checked on the bench.

  • “Case pages cannot name clients”

Without client names, pages risk reading as empty. A well-written problem and approach carries weight without one. Headings built on the problem class, the constraint and the verification method let a reader judge the work with no client name in sight.

  • “Overseas buyers search in a different vocabulary”

A buyer abroad may use different terms for services than an Indian procurement team. The site should handle both. Pages should carry the terms a procurement team in Pune uses and the terms an engineer in Munich or Austin types for the same board design.

What we do

What we deliver for engineering R&D and embedded systems service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Keyword research by task, domain and technology

A map of searches grouped by service, industry and tool.

Result: Each page has a search it is meant to win.

  2. Capability pages for each service

Pages for firmware, hardware design, test and verification, mechanical and sustaining work, each with method and tools.

Result: A searcher lands on the right service.

  3. Solved-problem articles

Articles on design issues, written by the firm's own engineers, without client details.

    Result: Technical buyers find depth.

  4. Domain pages

Pages for automotive, medical, industrial and other domains, using each domain's vocabulary.

Result: Domain buyers see a relevant partner.

  5. Technical review

A check of speed, structure, indexing and mobile layout, with fixes listed and made.

Result: Nothing stops a good page being found.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we show specific chip or tool names?
Yes where the firm really has worked with them, since engineers search by name. Check vendor brand rules for logos. Name a vendor in plain text only for a project actually delivered, and leave out logos unless the vendor's brand guide permits them.
Can we rank without naming clients?
Yes, with pages written around the problem, the architecture and the verification method. Describe the architecture decision, the constraint and the test evidence, and let the problem carry the page in place of a client name.
Is content in other languages needed?
English is enough for B2B engineering buyers. Add other languages only if a market requires it. Add another language only when a buyer in a particular market asks for it, and have an engineer read the translation for technical terms.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
