IoT companies · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for what the buyer already does there: share a photo and ask a question.

WhatsApp marketing for an IoT company means using the app where plant owners, transporters and installers already talk, to share site photographs, device sheets and survey bookings. GullySales sets up the business profile, the message set and the rules for who may be messaged.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For IoT companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The owner already sends photos on WhatsApp”

A dairy owner will send a picture of a chiller and ask if it can be monitored. A business account that can receive that photo and answer with the right device sheet turns a casual query into a survey request.

  • “Installers pass on sheets and prices in groups”

Contractors share device sheets and margin terms with each other on chat. A clear single-page sheet that reads well on a phone travels further than a long file that needs a computer.

  • “Permission decides who may be messaged”

Sending promotional messages to people who have not agreed is a risk to your number and your name. Collect consent at the form, the survey and the call, and check the platform's current rules on business messaging.

What we do

What we deliver for IoT companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Business profile and catalogue

A completed business account with services, settings served, working hours and a catalogue of device sheets.

Result: A buyer opening the chat sees what you install and where.

  2. Message templates by stage

Prepared replies for first enquiry, survey booking, post-survey summary and pilot review, in English and regional languages.

Result: The team answers with approved wording and adds the details.

  3. Consent collection

A line on the enquiry form, the survey sheet and the call script asking whether the buyer agrees to WhatsApp messages.

Result: Every contact has a recorded agreement before any promotion.

  4. Installer broadcast list

A list of partners who have agreed to receive device updates, mounting guides and replacement notices.

Result: Partners get updates in a place they already read.

  5. Photo-to-sheet routine

A routine where a photo from an owner is answered with the matching setting guide and a survey invitation.

Result: Photo enquiries get a relevant reply and a clear next step.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we message all our past enquiries?
Only those who agreed to hear from you on that channel. Others should be asked through a normal call or form first. Check the platform's current rules, and take your own adviser's view on data and consent.
Should we use an automated bot?
A simple automatic greeting and a menu are fine, as long as a person takes over for real questions. A buyer asking about a failed sensor wants a human reply, and a bot that loops will lose the account.
Is a group better than a broadcast list?
For installers who want to talk to each other, a group can work. For one-way updates, a broadcast list keeps phone numbers private. Decide the purpose first, then the format, and tell members what the group is for.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
