AI search visibility tracking · Marketing

Know what AI assistants say about your business, and how far to trust the numbers.

Many buyers now put a question to an AI assistant before they open a search page. Owners then ask a fair question: are we being named, and is what it says about us correct? There is no rank-tracking screen for that answer, and the same question can return a different reply tomorrow.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

AI search visibility tracking is the measurement side of AI search work. GullySales records which questions to watch, what AI answers say about your business and which sources they cite. We also check whether AI crawlers can read your site and trace visits that arrive from AI assistants. The numbers are directional, and we say so plainly.

That makes measurement the weak point of the whole field. A single screenshot proves very little. A recorded set of questions, asked the same way and compared against a baseline, shows direction. We treat those results as directional evidence and do not present them as decision-grade proof.

We start with the requirements brief: your buyers, the questions they ask, the assistants they use and what you already measure. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after that brief. We never promise that an assistant will name or cite you.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Nobody can say whether the business is named in AI answers”

Someone on the team tried one question once. The answer changed the next day, and there is no record to compare against.

  • “AI crawlers may be blocked and no one knows”

A site setting, a firewall rule or a page that needs a script to load can keep a crawler from reading the content, quietly and for months.

  • “Visits from assistants arrive unlabelled”

Analytics may file them under direct or referral traffic, so the effect of AI answers on enquiries is guessed, not seen.

  • “Reports quote tidy numbers that the method cannot support”

A percentage taken from a few prompts looks precise and is not. Decisions made on it can point the wrong way.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Question set and baseline

A written list of the questions your buyers ask, run across the assistants you choose, with the answers recorded before any change is made.

  2. Citation tracking

A record of which sources each answer cites, whether yours is among them, and which competitors or directories appear instead.

  3. AI crawler accessibility audit

A check of whether the crawlers named in each platform's current documentation can reach and read your important pages, with the findings written down.

  4. AI referral analysis

A look at your analytics for visits that arrive from AI assistants, how they are being labelled and what those visitors do next.

  5. Brand mention monitoring

A record of how assistants describe your business, flagging answers that are wrong, out of date or missing your name.

  6. Visibility reporting

A report against the recorded baseline that separates what is directional from what is firm. The format is agreed in writing.

How the result is measured

  • Whether your business is named or cited for each tracked question, compared with the baseline
  • Accuracy of what assistants state about the business
  • Which sources are cited in place of yours
  • Whether important pages can be reached by the AI crawlers named in current platform documentation
  • Visits and enquiries that can be traced to AI assistants, with the gaps in tracking stated

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • Businesses that have started AI search work and have no way to see whether anything changed
  • Owners who suspect an assistant describes the business wrongly and want the wrong answers written down
  • Marketing leads who must explain AI search to a board or a partner with something better than anecdotes
  • Companies whose analytics show visits from AI assistants but no clear picture of what they mean

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed number of citations or a fixed position in AI answers; no one can promise that
  • Your website does not exist yet or has almost no pages; there is nothing for an assistant to read, so building comes first
  • You want a single score to quote as proof of results; the measurement does not support that

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs

  1. 1

    Requirements brief

We learn your buyers, services, locations and current analytics. Scope and fee are agreed in writing after the brief.

  2. 2

    Question set and baseline

We settle the questions and assistants to watch, then record what each says today so later changes have something to be compared with.

  3. 3

    Access and referral checks

We test whether crawlers can read your pages and look at how your analytics label visits from assistants.

  4. 4

    Record and compare

We repeat the same questions in the same way, note differences in answers, citations and mentions, and record anything that looks like noise.

  5. 5

    Report and next steps

We write up what changed, what the evidence does and does not support, and what to fix, in a format agreed with you beforehand.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you guarantee we will be cited by AI assistants?
No. Nobody controls what an assistant says, including its makers. We do not promise citations, rankings, leads or sales. We promise careful, recorded work against a scope agreed in writing.
Why do you call the numbers directional?
An assistant can give different answers to the same question, and a small set of questions is a small sample. Results show which way things are moving. They do not prove a cause, and we say so in every report.
Which assistants do you track?
That is agreed per project, based on where your buyers ask their questions. We check each platform's current rules before any tracking is set up.
Is this the same as AI search optimisation?
No. Optimisation changes your content and site so assistants can use them. Tracking measures what happened. The two can be bought together or separately.
How is this priced?
There is no published price. The first step is the requirements brief, and scope and fee are put in writing after it.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
