WordPress website development · Marketing

Get a WordPress site your own team can edit without calling a developer.

Most WordPress sites that go wrong were built from a theme bought for a few thousand rupees and padded with twenty plugins. The home page looks fine in the demo. Then the site takes eight seconds to open on a phone, the contact form stops sending mail, and nobody knows which plugin broke it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

WordPress website development is the building of a website on WordPress, the content management system that runs a large share of small business sites in India. GullySales builds the site against your services and buyers, keeps the plugins few, and hands over every login in your name.

We build WordPress sites the other way round. The pages and the enquiry path come first, then a lean theme and only the plugins the site needs. Your team edits a service page or adds a photo without touching code, and the forms are tested until a test enquiry reaches your WhatsApp and your inbox.

WordPress is not the answer to every brief. It suits a service business, a clinic, a school, a manufacturer or a trader who wants a site they control and can change. We say so plainly when another platform fits the job better.

The problem

Does this sound like your business?

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “The site is slow and nobody knows why”

A heavy theme, unused plugins and uncompressed photos pile up over the years. The owner sees a site that opens late on mobile data and a developer who says it is fine.

  • “The contact form stopped working and enquiries were lost”

Form mail is blocked by the host or lands in spam. The first sign is a buyer saying they filled the form last week and never heard back.

  • “Only the old developer can change anything”

The site was built on a page builder nobody else understands, or the admin login sits in someone else's email. Changing a phone number becomes a favour you have to ask for.

  • “The site was hacked once and could be again”

Outdated plugins are the usual way in. The business learns about it from a Google warning or a spam page ranking under its own name.

What we do

Everything that is included.

Each deliverable, and what it gets you. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Site structure and page plan

The pages a buyer needs, named after what they search for, with one clear next step on each: a call, a WhatsApp message or the requirements form.

  2. Theme and design build

A lean theme set up to your brand, checked on a budget Android phone first because that is where most of your visitors are.

  3. Plugin selection

Only the plugins the site needs, each with a stated reason. Anything that adds weight without adding an enquiry is left out.

  4. Enquiry forms and WhatsApp links

Forms that send to an inbox you read, a click-to-chat button, and a test enquiry sent through each before launch.

  5. Search set-up

Page titles, headings, a sitemap, Google Search Console and a Google Business Profile link, so the site can be found from day one.

  6. Editing training

A walk-through for the person on your team who will edit pages, covering text, photos, new pages and the form entries.

  7. Ownership handover

Domain, hosting, WordPress admin and analytics logins in your name, written down, with a note on what each one is for.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries from the site by page and source
  • Page load time on mobile
  • Form submissions that reached an inbox
  • Pages indexed by Google
  • Plugins installed against plugins needed

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for you if these sound familiar.

  • Clinics, schools, builders, manufacturers and professional firms that want a site their own staff can edit
  • Owners who want a blog and service pages that search engines read easily
  • Businesses with a Wix or Weebly site that has outgrown it and needs room to add pages
  • Companies whose WordPress site is slow, hacked or broken and was built by someone no longer reachable
  • Owners who want to hold the domain, hosting and admin login themselves

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want to sell more than a few dozen products with stock and delivery rules, that is a Shopify build or e-commerce website development
  • You need a heavily custom web application with user accounts and workflows, which needs custom development rather than a CMS
  • You have a working WordPress site and only want it faster, that is website speed and performance optimisation

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs

  1. 1

    Read the brief

We start from your requirements brief and a call, and decide with you whether WordPress is the right platform for what you sell.

  2. 2

    Plan the pages

We agree the page list and the content each page needs before any design starts, so the build does not stall waiting for copy.

  3. 3

    Design and build

Pages are built on a staging copy you can open and comment on, not a live site.

  4. 4

    Load content and test

Real text and photos go in. We test forms, speed on mobile, and every link before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and hand over

The site goes live, logins move to you, and your editor is trained. Care after launch is agreed separately in writing.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is WordPress the right platform for my business?
For most service businesses, clinics, schools and manufacturers, yes. If you sell many products online, Shopify is the better fit, and if you need a custom application, WordPress is the wrong tool. We tell you which in the first conversation.
Who owns the site and the logins?
You do. Domain, hosting and admin accounts are registered in your name, and we hand over a written list of every login. If we host it for you at the start, the move to your account is part of the handover.
Can we use a ready-made theme to save money?
Yes, a good theme is a sensible base. The risk is a bloated one, so we choose a light theme and strip what the site does not use. The fee is put in writing after we have read your brief.
Will the site get hacked?
No site is immune. Outdated plugins are the usual cause, so we keep the plugin list short and set up backups and updates. Ongoing care is covered by website maintenance and support.
Can you move my existing site to WordPress?
Yes. Moving a site without losing its Google rankings needs the old addresses mapped to the new ones, which is the work covered under website redesign.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
