Auto repair shops · Reputation management

Answer the one review about an overcharge before it costs you the next ten customers.

Reputation management for an auto repair shop means asking every satisfied customer for a review and replying calmly to every complaint. Pricing disputes and unclear billing are the most common source of negative reviews in this trade. GullySales builds this into your existing service process.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For auto repair shops

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Billing clarity prevents most negative reviews before they happen”

A customer who understood the quote upfront rarely leaves a bad review even if the final bill is close to the estimate. An unclear quote invites suspicion regardless of the actual work.

  • “The best time to ask for a review is at handover”

A customer collecting their repaired vehicle, relieved it is running well, is more likely to leave a positive review than one contacted days later.

  • “A calm, specific reply to a bad review reassures the next customer”

Responding factually to a complaint about cost or delay, without being defensive, shows a future customer that issues are taken seriously rather than ignored.

What we do

What we deliver for auto repair shops.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Handover review request routine

A simple ask for a review at the moment a customer collects a repaired vehicle, sent by WhatsApp with a direct link.

Result: Satisfied customers leave a review before the moment passes.

  2. Billing clarity checklist for the quote stage

A checklist making sure every customer understands what a quote covers before work begins.

Result: Fewer negative reviews start from confusion about the bill.

  3. Calm reply templates for complaints

Approved wording for responding factually to a complaint about cost or delay, without sounding defensive.

Result: A difficult review gets a considered reply instead of silence.

  4. Review monitoring across Google and other listings

Monitoring set up across the places your reviews actually appear, so nothing goes unnoticed.

Result: Every review, wherever it appears, gets seen and answered.

  5. Review volume and reply-rate check

A check on how many new reviews came in and how many were replied to.

Result: You can see whether review handling is keeping pace with the work.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to answer each kind of review an auto repair shop gets.

Praise for a service or repair
Thank the customer, name the mechanic or service advisor if they mentioned one, and mention the next-service reminder. Share the praise with the workshop team at the next morning huddle.
A complaint that the bill was higher than the estimate
Pull the job card and the approvals. If extra work was approved on a call, say that you recorded it. If it was not, apologise and fix the bill, then start taking written approval for added work.
A complaint that the same fault came back
Ask the owner to bring the car in, and have a senior mechanic check it at no charge for the diagnosis. Reply in public that you are checking it, then post the outcome in a line once it is closed.
A complaint about the time taken or a missed pick-up promise
Say what held the job up, such as a part that did not arrive, and what you told the customer at the time. Tell customers about delays at the moment they happen, not at collection.
An insurance claim dispute
Say that settlement is between the customer and the insurer and offer to explain what the surveyor approved and what you charged. Keep the survey report, the approved estimate and the invoice together.
A review from someone who never visited
Check the job cards for the name and registration. If none exists, reply that you cannot trace the visit and ask them to contact you. Report it through the platform if it breaks the rules.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the reputation management work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current perception

We start by actually searching your business name and reviewing what a stranger would currently see.

  2. 2

    Audit existing mentions

We catalogue reviews, mentions and search results, flagging anything negative or inaccurate.

  3. 3

    Plan responses

A calm, factual response is prepared for anything that needs one, agreed with you before posting.

  4. 4

    Implement monitoring

Ongoing checks are set up so new mentions are caught promptly rather than discovered by accident.

  5. 5

    Measure and report

Sentiment and response times are reported, with your business name searched again to see what has moved.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we get more reviews without seeming pushy?
A simple ask at handover, with a direct link sent by WhatsApp, works better than a generic request and does not feel forced.
What if a review is unfair or exaggerated?
We help you draft a calm, factual public reply, since arguing publicly with a customer usually does more harm than the original review.
A customer reviewed us for damage that was already on the car. How do we answer?
Show the record without shaming the customer. Say that the check-in sheet notes existing marks, offer to compare it together, and do not post their registration number. Start photographing the car at check-in if you do not already.
A customer left a review in Hindi. Do we have to reply in Hindi?
You do not have to, but a short reply in their language reads as respectful. Keep it simple, name the next step, and have a service advisor who writes it well post it. Do not use a tool that translates badly.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
