Car dealers · Local SEO
Maps decides which dealer of your brand a buyer drives to.
For a dealership local search decides which showroom of your brand a buyer visits first, and it is settled largely by distance and what the listing shows. GullySales sets up a profile for every branch and department, keeps the reviews answered, and puts the workshop on its own listing.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means
Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For car dealers
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“Distance is doing most of the deciding”
Between two dealerships carrying the same brand, the nearer listing wins the tap. What you control is everything else: the photographs, the hours, the reviews and how fast a message is answered.
“The used car yard needs a pin of its own”
A yard with its own staff and board can carry its own listing, photographs and reviews. Buried inside the new car profile, nobody ever searches for it.
“Messages on Maps arrive as price enquiries”
Somebody asks the on-road price through the listing on a Sunday afternoon. An unattended inbox gives that enquiry away.
“Photograph the stock, not the building”
Buyers look for the model they want, the display floor and the delivery bay. A picture of the glass front tells them nothing about whether the car is there.
What we do
What we deliver for car dealers.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A profile for each branch and department
Separate listings with address, hours, phone, photographs and categories for every showroom, workshop and yard that has its own address.
Result: Each location is found by the buyers nearest to it.
Photographs of stock and delivery
The display floor, the models on it, the delivery bay and the service reception, refreshed when the range changes.
Result: A buyer sees the car before setting out.
Maps messages answered by the lead desk
Messages routed to the people who work portal leads, with saved replies for price, availability and test drive requests.
Result: A Sunday enquiry is treated like any other lead.
Hours that match each branch
Showroom, workshop and yard timings, weekly offs, festival hours and the extended evenings of a launch week, loaded in advance.
Result: Nobody arrives at a closed gate.
Reviews asked for by department
Delivery reviews collected by the sales consultant and service reviews by the advisor, each landing on the right listing.
Result: The right profile collects the right praise.
Listing performance read against the baseline
Calls, direction requests and messages per branch, set against the baseline and against the enquiries recorded at the desk.
Result: You can see which branch Maps is actually feeding.
How the result is measured
- Map pack ranking
- Local search visibility
- Enquiries by locality
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What Google weighs here
How a buyer nearby finds the showroom for a shortlisted model, and what to fix first.
- Showroom, used yard, workshop
- Give each its own listing and category: car dealer for the showroom, used car dealer for the yard, and a service category for the workshop. Mixing them sends a buyer to a workshop who wanted a test drive.
- Model names as the maker writes them
- List the models and variants you actually hold, using the manufacturer's names. Remove models that are out of stock or discontinued, so a buyer who walks in is not disappointed.
- Brand name used under your agreement
- Use the brand name only as the dealer agreement and brand guideline permit. A multi-brand yard should name no brand it is not authorised for, since the manufacturer can have such listings reported.
- CarDekho, CarWale and the maker's locator
- Check the address, phone and hours on each. The manufacturer's dealer locator is often the first place a buyer clicks, and an old branch there sends people to a closed gate.
- Reviews split by department
- Ask sales customers on delivery day and service customers after the job. A showroom page full of workshop comments tells a new buyer nothing about the sales team.
- One name, one lead desk number
- Use the name on the signboard and a number the lead desk answers, not the front-office landline that rings out. Every branch should list its own number, so a caller reaches the showroom closest to them.
Who it is for
This is written for these car dealers.
- Authorised new car dealerships for mass-market brands
- Premium and luxury car dealerships
- Electric vehicle dealers and experience centres
- Multi-brand pre-owned car dealers
- Manufacturer-certified used car outlets
- Commercial vehicle and taxi fleet dealers
- Dealer groups with several showrooms and workshops
- Rural and semi-urban dealer outlets
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- Your branch details differ between the listing, the website and the brand's locator, so fixing the listing alone would not settle it.
- No one answers messages that arrive on the listing, and a buyer who writes there expects a reply from the lead desk.
- You have no recent photographs of stock and deliveries, and a profile with old pictures looks closed.
How it works
How the local SEO work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Write down what is true
Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.
- 2
Search as your buyer does
We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.
- 3
Fix the profile first
Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.
- 4
Build the branch pages and match the listings
Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.
- 5
Ask, reply and measure
We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.
Where this fits
Three pieces of sales work, in this order.
This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.
Step 1
Sales audit
Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.
Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.
Step 2 · you are here
Sales process design
One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.
Start here if every salesperson sells differently.
Step 3
Sales management
A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.
Start here if the team has targets and no routine.
