Car dealers · WhatsApp marketing

The family already shares the car shortlist on WhatsApp, so be in that thread.

WhatsApp marketing for a car dealer uses a business number to answer enquiries, send model details and keep a buyer informed through finance and delivery. GullySales sets up the account, the reply scripts and the message sequences, and keeps them within the platform's current rules.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For car dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Brochures and prices travel by forward”

A buyer saves your brochure and forwards it to a spouse, a brother or a friend who owns the same model. The message that reaches them should carry the dealership's name, the branch and a person to call.

  • “The personal number is the weak point”

A salesperson who handles buyers on a personal number takes the whole conversation history away on leaving. A shared business number with named agents keeps the thread with the dealership.

  • “Reply speed is judged against the other dealer”

A buyer messages three showrooms at once. The one that sends the price sheet, a test drive slot and a real answer first looks like the one that wants the sale.

  • “Spam ruins a good channel”

Sending a model blast to a bought list gets the number reported and the buyer irritated. Permission, a clear purpose and a way to stop messages are what keep the channel useful.

What we do

What we deliver for car dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business account set up properly

A verified business profile with the branch address, hours, catalogue of models and a greeting that tells the buyer who will reply.

Result: A buyer sees a dealership, not a stranger's number.

  2. Saved replies for the common questions

Prepared answers for on-road price, variants, colours, test drive booking, exchange and finance documents.

Result: Routine questions get a full answer on the first message.

  3. Model and offer catalogue

Each model with photographs, variants and a current price sheet, kept updated by one named person.

Result: Buyers are never sent an old price.

  4. Opt-in and opt-out handling

A way to record permission when a buyer enquires, and a plain stop instruction in every broadcast.

Result: Your list is made of people who agreed to hear from you.

  5. Message sequences for booking, finance and delivery

Short templates for each step, written so the salesperson adds the buyer's name and one real detail.

Result: Messages read like a person wrote them.

  6. An agent rota for the shared number

Who answers which hours, how a conversation is handed over and what the manager can see.

Result: Nobody's enquiry waits for a particular person to return.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Use the family's chat thread for the details a car purchase needs.

Model, variant and colour in one reply
Taken as the first message. The reply confirms the variant and shows the colours in stock, so the buyer does not repeat it.
Exchange car photographs and registration year
Requested for the valuer. The reply states that the figure is confirmed after the car is seen, not before.
Written on-road price as a file
Attached as a document, not typed in the chat. Forwardable to the spouse or the lender without a change.
Test drive slot and the executive's name
A time, a pin of the showroom and the name of the executive. Saved for the agent rota so the buyer meets a known person.
Permission for later offers
A yes or no recorded at booking. Only those who agreed receive offers or service reminders.

Who it is for

This is written for these car dealers.

  • Authorised new car dealerships for mass-market brands
  • Premium and luxury car dealerships
  • Electric vehicle dealers and experience centres
  • Multi-brand pre-owned car dealers
  • Manufacturer-certified used car outlets
  • Commercial vehicle and taxi fleet dealers
  • Dealer groups with several showrooms and workshops
  • Rural and semi-urban dealer outlets

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The shared number is a salesperson's personal phone, so the history leaves with the salesperson.
  • You plan to message old customers with offers they never agreed to receive.
  • You have no rota for who answers, and a buyer who waits for a reply goes to the other dealer.

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we use the WhatsApp Business app or the API?
A single showroom with a few agents can begin with the business app. A dealer group with several branches and a CRM will want the API through an approved provider. GullySales explains the difference for your size before anything is bought.
Can we send offers to our old customers?
Only to those who agreed to receive messages from you, and with a plain way to stop. Service customers can be asked at the workshop counter. Check the platform's current rules on templates and permissions before you send.
Will WhatsApp replace the call?
No. It carries the price sheet, the photographs and the reminders, while the call handles the conversation that closes the sale. The two work together, and the message often makes the call easier to start.
Can we promise a delivery date on chat?
State the waiting period the brand has given for the variant, say it is not a guarantee and give the date you will confirm. Delivery depends on the manufacturer's supply and the colour, so a firm date typed in a chat becomes a complaint if it slips.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
