Banquet halls and event venues · Lead generation

The family asks if the date is free, and then nobody rings them back.

Lead generation for a venue is getting date enquiries in and answering them before the family reaches the next hall on their list. GullySales sets the questions your manager asks on the first call, sends the rate sheet on WhatsApp within the hour, and books the site visit before the call ends.

A sorting hopper in a depot yard: a wide gold hopper on a steel frame, its throat splitting into three chutes that feed three floor bins, one heaped past its own spout, one half caught, one barely started

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For banquet halls and event venues

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A date enquiry has a shelf life of one afternoon

The family is ringing four halls off the same list. Whoever confirms availability and sends a rate sheet first gets the site visit that weekend.

  • Two families, one date, both lost

A date held on a verbal promise is not held. Record every enquiry against the date it was for, with a written hold period and a waiting family behind it.

  • The person who calls is rarely the person who pays

A cousin or a colleague makes the first call. Ask who is coming for the visit, because the one signing the cheque asks about the advance and the total, not the decor.

What we do

What we deliver for banquet halls and event venues.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A first-call script for date enquiries

What the manager asks in the opening minute: the date, the function, the guest count, whether the family brings its own cook, and who will come for the visit.

Result: The call ends with a visit fixed, not a price quoted into the air.

  2. A WhatsApp rate sheet sent within the hour

One page carrying hall rent, starting plate rates, what the package covers, parking and the hold terms, ready to forward to the rest of the family.

Result: They discuss your numbers at home that evening.

  3. An enquiry register kept by date

Every enquiry recorded against the date it asked for, with the rate quoted, the hold expiry and the outcome, so the calendar shows who is waiting behind a held date.

Result: You stop losing two bookings to one date.

  4. A site visit routine with a named host

A booked slot, one person to walk the family through the dining hall, stage, rooms and parking, a printed menu, and the next call fixed before they leave.

Result: More visits end with an advance paid.

  5. Follow-up dated to how families decide

A call the same evening, a second after three days, and a last one a fortnight later for anybody who has not booked elsewhere.

Result: Undecided families are asked again instead of written off.

  6. Corporate enquiries answered on their own track

A different set of questions for an HR or admin caller, covering headcount, layout, AV, catering and GST invoicing, answered with a proposal rather than a plate rate.

Result: Weekday company bookings stop falling through the wedding script.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for banquet halls and event venues

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at last year's calendar by date type, how enquiries were recorded, how many became site visits and bookings, and how your listings answer the common questions.

  2. 2

    Answer the five questions upfront

Capacity, plate rates, catering rules, parking and rooms shown on every listing, the website and a one-page WhatsApp sheet.

  3. 3

    Run the site visit properly

A booking for each visit, a named person to host it, a printed menu and price sheet, and a follow-up call booked before the family leaves.

  4. 4

    Fill the calendar gaps

Campaigns for weekdays, off-season months and non-wedding functions, and outreach to companies, event managers and planners.

  5. 5

    Protect the date

A clear hold and advance policy, a waitlist for popular dates, and a record of every enquiry per date so no second family is lost.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should the manager quote a rate on the first call?
Yes, a starting per-plate figure and the hall rent for that kind of date. A family that cannot afford you finds out anyway, and one that can now has a reason to visit. Send the same figures on WhatsApp so they can be shown to everyone at home.
How soon should we follow up after a site visit?
The same evening, with the menu and the quotation in writing, and again after three days. Families decide together and that conversation happens at home that night. A hall that stays silent for a week is assumed to be booked.
Should we put our plate rate on the listing?
A starting per-plate rate and the hall rent for a typical function help families shortlist you. It cuts the calls that were only asking the price, and the families who visit are the ones whose budget fits.
How do we fill weekdays and the off-season?
By selling what fits those days. Corporate trainings, birthdays and small receptions can take a Tuesday as easily as a Sunday. A separate weekday rate and package makes that an easy yes.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
