E-commerce · Electrical Supplies

The breaker trips, the owner phones the electrician, and the brand on the box is the one that gets blamed.

A circuit breaker is the part nobody sees until it matters. Homeowners buy it because their electrician specified it, and they judge it only when it trips or fails to. Trust is the product. A box with a recognised name and a dealer who stands behind it is what sells.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Circuit protection covers miniature circuit breakers, residual current devices, isolators, fuses, surge protectors and the distribution boards that hold them. GullySales writes pages that state the rating, poles and type the maker prints, keeps advice on sizing with the electrician, and builds the board-by-board quotation route for contractors and panel builders.

The buyer is almost always a trade buyer: the electrician, the contractor, the panel builder. They want a rating, a pole count, a breaking capacity and a carton price. The homeowner's job on this page is to recognise the brand and the type their electrician named.

Last updated 7 Oct 2026. Product, labelling and advertising rules for electrical supplies differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell circuit protection online.

  • Makers and brands of MCBs, RCCBs, isolators and distribution boards
  • Dealers and distributors who supply electricians, builders and electrical contractors
  • Sellers of surge protection and changeover switches for homes and shops
  • Panel builders' suppliers who stock breakers by rating and make

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Sellers who plan to tell buyers which rating they need for their home. That is a licensed electrician's call and we would take it out of the page.
  • A seller whose breakers carry no markings that can be shown on the page. Buyers in this part of the trade check.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of circuit protection.

  1. Rating, poles and type

A breaker is asked for by current in amps, number of poles and curve type. The electrician writes these on a list and the dealer reads them back. Pages that carry the exact words are found.

  2. Breaking capacity

The short-circuit capacity printed on the breaker matters to a panel builder and to a contractor working to a specification. They compare it across brands before they compare price.

  3. Distribution board and the way in

A board is chosen by the number of ways and whether it is surface or flush mounted, with or without a door. Buyers order the board together with the breakers that go in it.

  4. Brand and the dealer behind it

A trade buyer picks a brand they trust and a dealer who will exchange a faulty piece. Warranty handling and who replaces a defective breaker are real questions.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell circuit protection online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “A buyer asks what breaker a house needs and we hesitate to answer”

Rightly. The load and the wiring decide it. The page should say what each device is rated for and send the buyer to a licensed electrician, so your desk does not have to give advice.

  • “Copies of well-known brands circulate”

Electricians have seen counterfeit breakers. Original packing, markings and dealer proof on the page are the way to answer.

  • “Contractors want a board with its breakers and we sell them separately”

A builder wants a board for each flat with a stated set of breakers inside. A package listing with the contents named saves several calls.

  • “Our online price is higher than a local dealer's carton price”

Trade buyers buy by the carton. A single-piece price looks dear. A carton rate on request, in the quotation, keeps you in the comparison.

The scope

The work we would propose for circuit protection.

Measured on purchases and, for trade buyers, qualified enquiries, quotation requests and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

  1. Board packages

Distribution boards listed with the breakers that go in them, as set out by the maker, so a contractor can order a complete board. The electrician confirms the choice for each building.

  2. Authenticity and warranty block

Maker's packing, markings and warranty process shown on every listing, and who handles a faulty piece. We state only what you can document.

What we do

What you get for circuit protection.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A device-by-device rating table

Ratings, poles, curve and breaking capacity for the range, presented as the maker prints them. It lets a trade buyer check without calling.

  2. A board-and-breaker package list

Boards with the breakers each takes. It speeds up a project order and avoids mismatches.

  3. A warranty and replacement page

Who replaces a faulty breaker, how, and what the buyer should keep. It answers the question that decides a dealer's loyalty.

  4. A carton rate request form

A short form for electricians and contractors. It captures quantity so the quotation is accurate the first time.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified enquiries
  • Quotation requests
  • Orders won
  • Repeat orders
  • Authenticity queries
  • Purchases

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Complete product list with ratings, poles, curve and breaking capacity
  • The maker's catalogue and warranty terms
  • Original packing photographs and batch markings
  • Recent trade enquiries and the quotations that followed
  • Names of electricians and contractors who buy repeatedly

Selling in India and abroad

Selling circuit protection beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Ratings and standards by country

Voltage, frequency and mounting standards differ, and breakers sold in one country may not meet the requirements of another. What a product needs is for your adviser and the importer to confirm, and the page should not imply approval.

  2. Distributors are the route

Overseas, breakers are sold through distributors and contractors, not a cart. Your enquiry and sales data show who already asks, and we start there.

FAQ

Questions about selling circuit protection online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I answer a homeowner who asks what breaker to buy?
Say what each product is rated for and ask them to check with their licensed electrician. Do not recommend a rating for a home you have not seen. It protects them and it protects you.
Do I need to show the breaking capacity?
Yes, as printed by the maker. Panel builders and specifying engineers look for it. Leave it out and your listing loses the trade buyer.
Is it better to sell breakers online or through dealers?
Most volume goes through dealers and electricians. A website's job is to be found, prove the product is genuine and take the enquiry. Retail sales of single devices are a small part.
How do I prove my breakers are original?
Show the packing, the markings and your dealer status, and describe what to check on receipt. Only claim what you can show if a buyer or the maker asks.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
