E-commerce · Electrical Supplies

The electrician asked for a 1.5 and a 2.5 and the seller sent whatever was on the shelf.

Wire is the product that electricians recommend by brand and homeowners buy blind. Nobody can tell from the outside whether the copper is full gauge or thin, and everybody has heard a story. So the seller who shows what is inside the coil, and the markings on it, is the one who is asked for the next order.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Wires and cables are the copper and aluminium conductors, house wiring coils, multi-core and flexible cables, and armoured and communication cable that carry power and signals. GullySales builds pages around core size, number of cores, insulation and length, and handles the coil-by-coil and drum-by-drum enquiries that come from electricians and contractors.

The price is the thing that moves it. Copper prices change and the rate for a coil changes with it. A fixed price on a page goes stale. A quotation valid for a stated period does not.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell wires & cables online.

  • Manufacturers and brands of house wiring, flexible and multi-core cables
  • Cable dealers who sell by the coil, the metre and the drum to electricians and contractors
  • Sellers of armoured, control and instrumentation cable to panel builders and factories
  • Sellers of extension cords, cable reels and communication cable through marketplaces

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Sellers who cannot supply the maker's markings or test details on request. Cable buyers will ask, and the answer decides the order.
  • A business that wants to sell unbranded wire on price alone. Our work cannot change that comparison.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of wires & cables.

  1. Core size and number of cores

Buyers ask in square millimetres, such as 1.5, 2.5 or 4, and the number of cores. They ask for single-core house wire or flexible multi-core for appliances, and the page must name which.

  2. Copper or aluminium, and the insulation

Copper against aluminium is a price and use question. Insulation type decides where it can run: PVC for general wiring and a flame-retardant grade for buildings that ask for it. The maker's markings carry this.

  3. Colour, coil length and the roll

House wire is sold in a coil of a fixed length, in a colour for live, neutral and earth. Buyers order by colour and coil, and a project needs matching colours in volume.

  4. Brand against the dealer

The electrician names a brand and the homeowner asks whether it is genuine. A dealer with an authentic coil and the markings visible in the photograph wins that question.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell wires & cables online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Buyers suspect our wire is thin”

Doubts about the actual gauge and copper content are common. A close photograph of the markings and the maker's specification on the page address it, though a buyer's electrician may still check.

  • “The price on our page is out of date by the time anyone orders”

Cable rates follow the metal. A listing price that is not updated looks wrong. A rate request with a validity period is more honest.

  • “Contractors want a full order of cable by length and we reply by size”

A builder wants so many metres of each size for each floor. Replying line by line costs time. A request that takes a schedule of sizes and lengths is faster to quote.

  • “Our coils are returned because the colour was wrong”

Colour for live, neutral and earth was not clear in the title. The listing should name the colour in the variant, not only in the photograph.

The scope

The work we would propose for wires & cables.

Measured on purchases and, for trade buyers, qualified enquiries, quotation requests and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for wires & cables.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A cable selection table

Type, core size, cores, insulation and typical use in one table, with a line to confirm the choice with an electrician. It stops the wrong-wire order.

  2. Marking photographs for each family

Real photographs of the sheath print and coil label. They answer the authenticity question with a picture.

  3. A cable schedule form

A sheet where a contractor lists sizes and lengths by floor. It is faster for them and for your estimator.

  4. A rate request reply template

A message that carries rate, validity, delivery and payment terms. It makes the reply consistent whoever sends it.

How the result is measured

  • Purchases
  • Conversion rate
  • Quotation requests
  • Orders won
  • Repeat orders
  • Authenticity queries

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Product list with core sizes, cores, insulation type and coil length
  • Maker's specification sheets and test information you hold
  • Photographs of coils with the markings readable
  • A sample of recent contractor enquiries and how each ended
  • How you update rates and how long a quotation stays valid

Selling in India and abroad

Selling wires & cables beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Colour codes and standards differ

Wire colours and cable standards are not the same in every country. Pages for an overseas buyer should state what the product conforms to, only if the maker states it, and not assume equivalence.

  2. Weight and freight

Cable is heavy and sold in drums. Freight can be large against the price, so quote delivered figures with your forwarder rather than ex-factory alone.

FAQ

Questions about selling wires & cables online.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I show my wire is genuine copper and full size?
Show the printed markings, the maker's label and the specification, and say only what they say. A claim without a document will not hold. A buyer's electrician may test it, so do not overstate.
Should I put the price of a wire coil on my website?
Show a starting figure only if you update it. Metal prices move. For contractors, a rate request with a validity period is better than a stale number.
Can a homeowner choose the right wire size from my page?
No, and the page should say so. The right size depends on the load and the run, and an electrician decides. Show what each product is rated for, and ask the buyer to confirm with theirs.
How do I sell cable to contractors who buy in large quantities?
Take their schedule of sizes and lengths in one form, reply with a total and delivery, and keep the rate valid for a fixed time. Follow up by call before it lapses.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
