The online seller's parcel arrives with the bag torn, and your mailer takes the blame.
The buyer of a mailer is almost always a seller, usually a small one, packing from a spare room or a shop floor. They want a bag that fits a kurta or a phone cover, seals shut, shows no tear and costs little per parcel.
A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.
In one paragraph
Mailers are the poly bags, courier bags, bubble mailers and padded envelopes that small online sellers pack garments, books and light goods in. GullySales builds the pages by product and size, the sample request and the reorder reminder, because a seller who finds a bag that works orders it again and again.
Because the same seller ships the same product, a mailer is a reorder item. A supplier who answers the first enquiry well and keeps a record of size and quantity is called back.

Who it is for
This is written for you if you sell mailers online.
- Makers and traders of poly courier bags and tamper-evident bags
- Sellers of bubble mailers and padded envelopes
- Printers of branded mailers for online brands
- Stockists who supply mailers in small and medium packs to sellers in their city
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A seller who can supply only one huge pack size. Online sellers buy by hundreds, not by lakhs.
- Anyone who cannot say what the bag is made of and how thick it is. The buyer will not take a guess.
How buyers choose
What decides the sale of mailers.
Fit by what is packed
A seller of folded T-shirts, one of sarees and one of earrings need three different sizes. Searches are for the use, such as courier bag for clothes, so each size is listed with the item that fits.
Thickness and sealing strip
A thin bag splits in a sorting hub, and a weak adhesive strip opens in the heat. Buyers ask for thickness in microns, whether the strip is double and whether the bag shows tampering.
Opaque or transparent, plain or printed
A brand wants its name on the bag and wants no one to see what is inside. Printing minimums and the price of a first printed order are asked before anything else.
Sample packs to test
A seller buys ten from one supplier and ten from another, ships a few parcels and compares. A small, easy sample pack gets you into that test.
Where sales are lost
What usually goes wrong when you sell mailers online.
In the words sellers use on the first call.
“Our bags are the same as everyone's and we compete on price”
Without something to point to, the buyer takes the lowest rate. A listing that shows thickness, strip type and what the bag survived, with photographs, gives a reason to pay more.
“Small sellers want fifty bags and we sell in thousands”
A first order of fifty can become a regular order of five hundred. A small pack at a fair price, offered next to the bulk rate, brings them in.
“Buyers complain about the tape and the strip, and we lose them”
A seal that fails in humid weather is the commonest complaint. Saying which weather your adhesive is made for, and offering a replacement, keeps the account.
“We do not know who reorders until they stop”
A seller who packs two hundred bags between orders runs out on a pattern. A record of the last order and a call before the stock ends is a simple repeat sale.
The scope
The work we would propose for mailers.
Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up, orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform or tool we have not used with you is confirmed in the audit before it goes in the scope.
- Pages by item packedA page for clothes, books, footwear, cosmetics and electronics, each showing the right mailer sizes, thickness and strip, and what to avoid for that product.
- Sample pack and small-quantity offerA request for a mixed sample pack, asking what the seller ships, plus a small-pack price next to the bulk price.
- Marketplace seller outreachContent aimed at Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and Instagram sellers on packing for returns and damage, with the mailer sizes that fit their products.
- Reorder reminders by usageA list of sellers by pack size and last order, with a message by WhatsApp before they run out.
Branded mailer enquiry route
A page on printed mailers: artwork, minimum run, proof and cost of the first print, so brands can start the conversation prepared.
What we do
What you get for mailers.
Each deliverable and what it is there to change.
A mailer size guide by product
Which size for which item, with a photograph of the item inside. It saves the seller buying the wrong size.
A sample pack page
A mixed sample of sizes and strips with a clear price. It starts the comparison on your terms.
A seller reorder sheet
Each buyer's size, quantity and last order date. It tells you who to call next.
A branded mailer guide
Artwork formats, print minimums and proof steps. It readies the brand that will become a regular account.
How the result is measured
- Qualified enquiries
- Sample pack requests
- Quotation requests for printed mailers
- Orders won
- Repeat orders
- Complaints on seal and tear by product
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Free audit call
90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.
After the call
Written, scored report
Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
What we need from you
What to have ready before the audit call.
None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.
- Your mailer range with sizes, thickness and strip type
- Photographs of your bags with products inside
- Your small-pack and bulk prices
- A list of your regular buyers and what they take
- Complaints from sellers about tearing or sealing
Selling in India and abroad
Selling mailers beyond your own market.
Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.
Overseas shipping asks for more
A seller shipping abroad needs a bag that survives longer journeys and customs handling, and often pairs it with a box. Say what your mailer is made for.
Units and recycling marks
Foreign buyers read size in inches or centimetres and ask about recycled content and marks. State only what is true of your product and what you can prove.

Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Option 4
Guidance for your own team or agency
