Equipment rental companies · Branding

Look like the yard that answers, not a smaller copy of the chain.

Branding for a rental company is what a contractor decides about you from the truck, the counter and the rate sheet before anybody speaks. GullySales sets the name, the livery, the paperwork and the way your yard describes what it does, so the independent story is stated rather than implied.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For equipment rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Your delivery truck sits on a job site all morning

Every other trade on that site reads the door while they wait. A phone number big enough to read from thirty feet does more than a billboard on the highway.

  • Copying the chain's look argues their case for you

Grey and red with a stock photograph of a boom lift says you are a smaller United Rentals. The reason to use you is the opposite of that.

  • The rate sheet is a brand document either way

It goes into a builder's purchasing folder next to two competitors. A clean, current sheet with your terms on it reads like a company that runs its paperwork properly.

  • Nobody rents from a yard they cannot picture

A contractor who has never driven to your place is guessing at the size of your fleet. Photographs of the row and the service shop settle the guess.

What we do

What we deliver for equipment rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A name and mark that works at fifty feet

Logo, colours and type set to hold up on a truck door, a machine decal, a hi-vis vest and a rate sheet, not only on a screen.

Result: One look carries across the yard and the road.

  2. Truck and fleet livery specification

Door, tailgate and trailer artwork with the phone number sized for distance, plus decals for machines that go out on long rentals.

Result: Your fleet advertises from somebody else's site all day.

  3. The rate sheet and contract redrawn

Rate sheet, credit application and rental agreement laid out so a purchasing office can find the terms without ringing you.

Result: Paperwork stops costing you the account.

  4. What independent means here, in writing

The two or three things you do that a national branch cannot, put in the words your counter already uses on the phone.

Result: Everybody gives the same reason to rent from you.

  5. Counter and yard signage

Wayfinding for trucks, the counter sign, safety notices and a board showing what you stock, made to match everything else.

Result: A first visit feels like an organised business.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these equipment rental companies.

  • Independent general tool and equipment rental yards
  • Aerial and earthmoving fleets serving general contractors
  • Specialty rental in pumps, power, climate control or shoring
  • Homeowner and DIY-focused rental counters
  • Event, party and staging rental companies
  • Rental businesses attached to a dealership
  • Multi-branch independents competing with the national chains
  • Yards adding online reservations for the first time

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for equipment rental companies

  1. 1

    Listen to last month's calls

The free audit call traces how enquiries reached you, how many were reservations, how many were quotes nobody chased, and what your counter does when the phone is busy.

  2. 2

Fix what happens around the counter

Agreed overlap hours, a logged record of every enquiry, written off-rent confirmations and a credit application that gets chased to completion.

  3. 3

    Make the fleet findable

A page for each category, a Google Business Profile built for a same-day renter, and reviews asked for after a delivery that went right.

  4. 4

    Wake the accounts that stopped

The dormant list pulled from your rental system and worked every week, with a note against each name of what they used to rent and why they stopped.

  5. 5

    Report on rentals, not activity

A monthly report on enquiries, reservations, machines delivered and accounts reopened, against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does a rental yard need a logo at all?
It needs something readable on a truck door and a rate sheet, which is a lower bar than a full brand exercise. If what you have is legible and consistent, keep it and spend the money on photographs of the yard.
Should manufacturer brands appear in our own marketing?
Name the makers you stock, because contractors ask for machines by brand. Just do not let a manufacturer's artwork take over your own, or the page reads like a dealer's rather than a rental yard's.
Can you answer our phones?
Inside the overlap hours we agree before work starts, yes, and those hours go in writing. The counter, the yard and the after-hours line stay yours. We will not promise a 24-hour desk or a local number, because that is not what we are.
How do we compete with United Rentals and Sunbelt?
Not on fleet size or rate. An independent wins on what a national branch cannot do from a call queue. Knowing the superintendent's name, sending a mechanic on a Saturday, settling an off-rent date without an argument. The work here is making that visible before the first rental, not after.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
