Equipment rental companies · Pay per click advertising

Buy the six o'clock search for a machine that has to be on site by ten.

Pay-per-click advertising puts your yard in front of a contractor who needs a machine this week and will not wait for your website to rank. GullySales runs the search and call campaigns by machine category and by season, and judges them on rentals delivered rather than clicks.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For equipment rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The click that matters happens before your counter opens

Superintendents book machines at six in the morning and on Sunday evening. Ads that run office hours only buy you the part of the day when every other yard is also answering.

  • Half the traffic on rental keywords wants to buy

Used skid steer, boom lift for sale, rent to own, parts. A negative keyword list does more for a rental account than any amount of bid tuning.

  • Weather moves the budget, not the calendar

A generator campaign is worth many times more in the week a storm is forecast than in the month either side of it. A flat daily budget misses that entirely.

  • A homeowner clicking a 60-foot boom ad costs you twice

You pay for the click, and then your counter spends ten minutes explaining the trailer, the operator requirement and the rate.

What we do

What we deliver for equipment rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns split by fleet category

Aerial, earthmoving, temporary power and specialty run separately with their own budgets, because they have separate seasons and separate buyers.

Result: Spend follows the categories sitting in the yard.

  2. A negative keyword list built for rental

Sale, used, auction, rent to own, parts, repair, operator jobs, and the residential terms that bring weekend renters to commercial machines.

Result: You stop paying for people who were never going to rent.

  3. Call ads timed to when contractors call

Bids weighted to early mornings, Saturdays and the hours your after-hours line is genuinely covered, instead of an even schedule.

Result: Ads run when somebody can answer.

  4. Storm and first-frost triggers

Generator, pump and heater budgets raised against a forecast and dropped when the weather turns, rather than sitting on a fixed monthly figure.

Result: Money lands in the week the phone is going to ring.

  5. Tracking tied to delivered rentals

A tracking number on each campaign and a routine for matching a booked contract back to its source inside your rental system.

Result: Cost per delivered rental replaces cost per click.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these equipment rental companies.

  • Independent general tool and equipment rental yards
  • Aerial and earthmoving fleets serving general contractors
  • Specialty rental in pumps, power, climate control or shoring
  • Homeowner and DIY-focused rental counters
  • Event, party and staging rental companies
  • Rental businesses attached to a dealership
  • Multi-branch independents competing with the national chains
  • Yards adding online reservations for the first time

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for equipment rental companies

  1. 1

    Listen to last month's calls

The free audit call traces how enquiries reached you, how many were reservations, how many were quotes nobody chased, and what your counter does when the phone is busy.

  2. 2

Fix what happens around the counter

Agreed overlap hours, a logged record of every enquiry, written off-rent confirmations and a credit application that gets chased to completion.

  3. 3

    Make the fleet findable

A page for each category, a Google Business Profile built for a same-day renter, and reviews asked for after a delivery that went right.

  4. 4

    Wake the accounts that stopped

The dormant list pulled from your rental system and worked every week, with a note against each name of what they used to rent and why they stopped.

  5. 5

    Report on rentals, not activity

A monthly report on enquiries, reservations, machines delivered and accounts reopened, against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we advertise machines we rarely have free?
No. An ad for a category that is out for three weeks buys a call you have to turn away, and that caller rings the next yard. We pull categories out of the campaign when utilisation says they are gone.
Is it worth bidding against BigRentz?
Inside your delivery radius, yes, because the broker is bidding on the exact search a local contractor makes. Further out it is their game and their margin. We hold the radius to where your driver can deliver the same day.
Can you answer our phones?
Inside the overlap hours we agree before work starts, yes, and those hours go in writing. The counter, the yard and the after-hours line stay yours. We will not promise a 24-hour desk or a local number, because that is not what we are.
How do we compete with United Rentals and Sunbelt?
Not on fleet size or rate. An independent wins on what a national branch cannot do from a call queue. Knowing the superintendent's name, sending a mechanic on a Saturday, settling an off-rent date without an argument. The work here is making that visible before the first rental, not after.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
