Equipment rental companies · Digital marketing

Spend where the yard is empty, not where the budget was last year.

Digital marketing for a rental business is the plan deciding which machines get promoted, in which month, on which channel. GullySales ties that plan to your utilisation and your season, and reports on rentals delivered rather than on posts and impressions.

A steam traction engine belted across a stackyard to a wooden threshing machine: the long flat belt taut between the flywheel and the drive pulley, the flywheel spinning, a straw elevator raking up off the far end, a full sack hanging on the sack spout, a corn stack half taken down behind and a water cart standing by

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For equipment rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Utilisation should decide the marketing and rarely does

Three categories are booked solid while a row of machines depreciates in the sun. The advertising runs on all of them equally, which helps neither.

  • Rental has four seasons and most yards market for one

Spring construction, storm response, the cold months, and the flat weeks between. A budget spread evenly over twelve months arrives late for every one of them.

  • Direct demand and broker demand are different businesses

Volume through BigRentz or DOZR comes at their margin and without the customer's name. What you spend to win a direct account has to be judged against that, not against a click price.

  • The account is worth buying, the single rental is not

A first delivery to a builder who then rents monthly for three years justifies a different cost from a homeowner's Saturday aerator.

What we do

What we deliver for equipment rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A twelve-month plan built on your fleet calendar

Which categories get promoted in which weeks, set against your own utilisation history and the weather your region actually gets.

Result: The quiet quarter has something of its own to sell.

  2. Channel split written down and revisited

How much goes to search, the Business Profile, the marketplaces and direct outreach to builders, reviewed each month against what each produced.

Result: Budget moves on numbers rather than habit.

  3. A baseline taken before anything changes

Enquiries by source and category, reservation rate, delivered rentals and reactivated accounts recorded at the start, so later months have something to be measured against.

Result: The argument about whether it worked has an answer.

  4. One enquiry record across every channel

Search, ad, marketplace and referral enquiries logged in the same place with the same fields, instead of in four systems nobody reconciles.

Result: Your counter sees one list, not four inboxes.

  5. Broker return measured against direct

Margin after the marketplace cut compared with what a direct enquiry leaves, category by category, looked at every month.

Result: Using a broker becomes a decision instead of a habit.

  6. A report your counter can read in five minutes

Enquiries, reservations, machines delivered and accounts reopened, by source and category, sent monthly against the opening baseline.

Result: You see the yard in the report, not a dashboard.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these equipment rental companies.

  • Independent general tool and equipment rental yards
  • Aerial and earthmoving fleets serving general contractors
  • Specialty rental in pumps, power, climate control or shoring
  • Homeowner and DIY-focused rental counters
  • Event, party and staging rental companies
  • Rental businesses attached to a dealership
  • Multi-branch independents competing with the national chains
  • Yards adding online reservations for the first time

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for equipment rental companies

  1. 1

    Listen to last month's calls

The free audit call traces how enquiries reached you, how many were reservations, how many were quotes nobody chased, and what your counter does when the phone is busy.

  2. 2

Fix what happens around the counter

Agreed overlap hours, a logged record of every enquiry, written off-rent confirmations and a credit application that gets chased to completion.

  3. 3

    Make the fleet findable

A page for each category, a Google Business Profile built for a same-day renter, and reviews asked for after a delivery that went right.

  4. 4

    Wake the accounts that stopped

The dormant list pulled from your rental system and worked every week, with a note against each name of what they used to rent and why they stopped.

  5. 5

    Report on rentals, not activity

A monthly report on enquiries, reservations, machines delivered and accounts reopened, against the baseline recorded before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a single-yard independent start?
With the enquiries you already get. Answering them, writing them down and chasing the quotes costs no media money and usually finds rentals you were losing. Advertising comes after that.
Do we need to be on every channel?
No. Most yards need the Business Profile, a page per category and a working reservation route. Social and email earn their place later, once somebody has the time to keep them going.
Can you answer our phones?
Inside the overlap hours we agree before work starts, yes, and those hours go in writing. The counter, the yard and the after-hours line stay yours. We will not promise a 24-hour desk or a local number, because that is not what we are.
How do we compete with United Rentals and Sunbelt?
Not on fleet size or rate. An independent wins on what a national branch cannot do from a call queue. Knowing the superintendent's name, sending a mechanic on a Saturday, settling an off-rent date without an argument. The work here is making that visible before the first rental, not after.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
