Eye hospitals · Local SEO

A family with a red, painful eye drives to the eye hospital Maps shows first.

Local SEO for an eye hospital is how the hospital, its branches and its vision centres appear on Google Maps and local directories when someone nearby searches for eye care. GullySales sets up each listing for the departments that address actually runs and keeps the name, address and phone identical everywhere.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For eye hospitals

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Vision centres need their own listing”

A vision centre staffed by an optometrist in a taluk town is where villagers first meet the hospital. If it hides inside the base hospital's listing, a search in that town finds a private optician instead.

  • “Trust name and hospital name do not match”

Many charitable eye hospitals are registered under a trust, signed under the hospital's name and listed on Justdial under a third version. Google reads three names as three places.

  • “Eye injuries are searched at night”

A chemical splash or a cracker injury at Diwali sends a family to Maps for the nearest place that is open. A listing that says closed while the casualty is staffed loses that patient.

What we do

What we deliver for eye hospitals.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Listings for the hospital, branches and vision centres

One Google Business Profile per visitable address with its own staff and hours, verified, with the categories and services that location actually offers.

Result: A search in each town finds the place that serves it.

  2. Name, address and phone made identical

The hospital's name settled once, as on the signboard and registration, then corrected on Google, Practo, Justdial and the insurer network lists where you appear.

Result: Search engines and families see one hospital, not three spellings.

  3. Hours by department

OPD hours, emergency hours and the optical counter's hours entered separately where the profile allows, and changed ahead of festival holidays.

Result: Nobody drives across town to a closed OPD.

  4. Photographs that show the way in

The entrance, registration, the waiting area for dilated patients and the parking, photographed as they are now and replaced when something changes.

Result: A companion dropping an elderly patient knows where to stop the car.

  5. Map position checked for department searches

Where each listing appears for cataract, retina and eye emergency searches in its own area, read against the starting position taken before anything changed.

Result: You can see which branch is found and which is missed.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

What decides whether an eye hospital shows up when someone nearby searches, and what to fix first.

Relevance: categories and services by department
Choose the primary category from Google's current list that describes an eye hospital, then add services for cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea and children's eye care. Add an optician category only where the optical counter is on site.
Distance: a listing per visitable address
Each branch and vision centre with its own staff, signboard and hours gets its own profile. A camp site or a collection point does not. Read Google's current guidelines before creating one.
Prominence: reviews and local mentions
Recent reviews, your replies to them, and mentions of your camps in local papers and club pages all count. Ask after good care, and reply without confirming that anyone was treated.
Practo, Justdial and insurer network lists
Claim Practo and Justdial, and check how the hospital appears on each insurer's and TPA's network hospital list and on any scheme's hospital finder. Families check these before they call.
Name, address and phone, the same everywhere
Use one name, the one on the board. For a trust-run hospital, decide whether the trust name appears and where, then copy the Maps listing exactly into every directory.

Who it is for

This is written for these eye hospitals.

  • Multi-speciality eye hospitals
  • Eye hospitals with community outreach
  • Eye hospitals attached to medical colleges
  • Charitable and trust-run eye hospitals
  • Corporate and chain eye hospitals
  • Eye hospitals with optical and pharmacy services

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for eye hospitals

  1. 1

Listen to how a patient moves through the hospital

The free audit call traces where patients come from, how they reach a second department and what is lost on the way.

  2. 2

    Join the departments

A routine that carries a patient between them.

  3. 3

    Make the whole hospital visible

Department pages, a Business Profile that shows the range and reviews asked for after good care.

  4. 4

Write back to referrers and follow up camps

    A note-back routine and a camp-to-hospital route.

  5. 5

    Report on departments, not activity

A report on enquiries, cross-department conversions and referrers against the baseline taken before anything changed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can our surgeons have their own Google listings as well as the hospital?
Google's current rules allow practitioner listings at a shared address in some cases, so read them first. A surgeon's listing that competes with the hospital's for the same searches splits the reviews. Most eye hospitals do better with one strong hospital listing and surgeons named on the website.
We run camps in villages. Should we list as a service-area business?
No. A camp is an event, not a place a patient can visit again. List only addresses with staff and hours, and put the camp schedule on your website and in posts on the hospital's own profile.
Should each vision centre have its own profile?
Yes, if it has its own signboard, staff and fixed hours, and patients can walk in. Link each one to the base hospital on your website, and say on the listing which cases are sent to the hospital for surgery.
Someone has listed a fake eye hospital at our address. What can we do?
Report it through Google Maps with evidence, such as a photograph of the address showing no such hospital. Google decides, and nobody can promise removal. Keep your own listing complete and active so it is the one families recognise.
Can we publish testimonials or before-and-after results?
Medical council rules restrict testimonials and result advertising for doctors, and the position differs and changes. We publish neither without your adviser's say-so. A clear explanation of the service does the same work.
Can we run discounts on surgery packages?
Packages with clear prices help families compare. Inducements and discounts on procedures may be restricted, so we keep to plain packages and your adviser confirms anything promotional.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
