Microfinance companies · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a borrower, a regulator or a recruit finds when they search your name.

SEO for a microfinance company means making sure the people who look the company up on a phone find clear, correct pages in their own language. GullySales works on the pages for loan products, branches, the grievance route and officer hiring, because those are the searches that reach a lender of this kind.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Microfinance institutions: show a real physical business scene illustrating Members, groups and centres. Record each member inside her group and centre, so member dues and the group total are worked from identical entries and never adjusted by hand.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For microfinance companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search is the company's own name”

A borrower hears the name in a village meeting and checks it on a phone that evening. The page that appears should say who the company is, which districts it serves and how to complain. A thin or outdated page here costs trust.

  • “Hiring is a search you can win”

Young graduates and former officers look for field jobs by district. A page per hiring district, with the pay structure described honestly, reaches candidates that general job sites bury under bigger employers.

  • “Local-language search is thin”

Few lenders publish clear product explanations in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil or Hindi. A page in the borrower's language, written with field staff, can be the only one answering the question a household types.

What we do

What we deliver for microfinance companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Product pages in local languages

One page per loan product explaining the instalment, the fee and the insurance in the district's language, reviewed by your field staff.

Result: A borrower reads the terms in words they use at home.

  2. Branch and district pages

A page for each district or branch with the address, the villages served and the route to the nearest office.

Result: A search for the company in a taluk lands on the right branch.

  3. Grievance and contact page

A visible page saying how a borrower raises a complaint, as your policy states.

Result: The route to complain is easy to find before a problem grows.

  4. Hiring pages by district

A page per district for field officer roles with the real duties, travel and the way to apply.

Result: Candidates find the vacancy in their own area.

  5. Technical check of the site

Speed on a low-end phone, mobile layout and correct page titles.

Result: The site loads on the phones borrowers and recruits actually use.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will SEO bring us borrowers in remote villages?
Not directly. It supports the visit by making the company easy to verify and by drawing hiring candidates. Group formation still depends on the field officer.
Can we publish interest rates and fees?
Publish what your regulator and policy require, in the form your compliance head approves. GullySales does not write rate claims or comparisons. Advertising rules differ by lender type, so check with your own adviser.
Do we need a separate site for each language?
No. One site with a language option for each district is easier to keep correct. The pages are written with your field staff so the words match what borrowers say.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
