Post for the daughter who forwards, not only for the retiree who reads.

Social media marketing for a retirement planning firm means short, calm posts that a family can pass along, placed where people near retirement and their children already spend time. GullySales plans the posts and keeps the tone steady and compliant.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

Last updated 18 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For retirement planning firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The reader is rarely the retiree”

A short post on Facebook or a WhatsApp group reaches a parent because a son or daughter forwarded it. Write the post so the forwarding person looks thoughtful and the parent feels no pressure to reply, and the family has something kind to talk about at dinner.

  • “LinkedIn reaches a different person”

On LinkedIn the audience is the working professional who is fifty and starting to think about stopping, and the HR head who books sessions. A post there should read like a note to a colleague, not a notice to a retiree.

  • “Fear sells badly in this trade”

A post that warns of running out of money brings attention and anxiety. A calm explanation of what a provident fund withdrawal involves brings a reader who trusts the author. Choose the second and let a conversation follow.

What we do

What we deliver for retirement planning firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A calendar of posts built on client questions

Posts that each take one question a retiree has asked, answered in plain words and without a rate or a promise.

Result: Each post can be traced to a question a real client asked.

  2. A LinkedIn plan for professionals and HR heads

Short notes aimed at people close to retirement and at the welfare officers who arrange employer sessions.

Result: The profile speaks to working professionals, not only retirees.

  3. Forwardable cards for family groups

Single-image explainers sized for WhatsApp and Facebook, with a quiet line saying who wrote it and how to reach the firm.

Result: A card can be forwarded without losing the firm's name.

  4. A compliance check before posting

Each post reviewed against the rules for your registration by your own adviser before it goes live.

Result: Nothing is published that your adviser has not approved.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should we post every day of the year?
No fixed rhythm is promised or needed. A small number of careful posts that answer real questions beat steady filler. GullySales agrees a pace with you that your adviser can review without rushing.
Can we use a client's story?
Not without checking. Rules on testimonials differ by profession and registration, and a story about someone's savings is private. Ask your own adviser first, and prefer posts that explain a decision without naming a person.
Is Instagram worth the effort for this trade?
Only if your clients' children use it. For a retirement practice, Facebook, WhatsApp and LinkedIn reach the right readers. Look at where your own enquiries come from before opening a new account.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
