Banks · Dealer and channel sales

Get more from your DSAs and correspondents without losing the relationship.

Channel sales for a bank means working through direct selling agents, business correspondents and co-branded partners who source loan or account customers on the bank's behalf. They reach areas a branch cannot cover directly. GullySales helps structure and track this channel so it brings in quality customers, not just volume.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of banks at work in India

What dealer and channel sales means

Dealer and channel sales is selling through independent dealers, distributors or retailers rather than directly to the end customer, common for products sold across many towns at once. GullySales sets up how these partners are recruited, supported and reported on so sales through them are visible, not just assumed.

For banks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “DSAs need clear, current product information to sell accurately”

A direct selling agent working from outdated loan terms misrepresents the product to a customer, which becomes the bank's problem at disbursal, not the agent's.

  • “Business correspondents extend the branch into areas a branch cannot justify”

A business correspondent operating in a village too small for a full branch still needs training and support materials to represent the bank accurately.

  • “Channel performance needs its own tracking, separate from branch performance”

An agent bringing in high volumes of rarely used accounts is a different problem from one bringing in fewer but more active customers. Only separate tracking reveals the difference.

What we do

What we deliver for banks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Current product sheet for DSAs and correspondents

A single, regularly updated sheet of current loan terms and documentation, distributed to every direct selling agent and business correspondent.

Result: An agent never misrepresents a scheme from outdated information.

  2. Channel enquiry tracking separate from branch data

A tracking sheet or CRM view that records DSA and correspondent-sourced enquiries against the same fields as branch enquiries.

Result: You can tell a high-quality agent from a high-volume one.

  3. Training and support materials for correspondents

Simple training material and a fast question channel for correspondents operating in areas too small for a full branch.

Result: A correspondent represents the bank accurately, even without daily supervision.

  4. Channel performance review process

A review comparing DSA and correspondent channels on enquiry quality and account activity, not volume alone, run on a schedule that fits your channel size.

Result: You reward the partners bringing in customers who actually stay.

How the result is measured

  • Active dealers
  • Sales through channel partners
  • Partner order frequency

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What every agent's sheet carries

Put these six items on the product sheet you give every DSA and correspondent.

Agents sell what is in front of them. A one-page sheet, kept current by the branch or channel head, stops them from selling something that no longer exists.

Products open to the channel
List the products the channel may source and the ones that are branch-only. An agent who offers a branch-only product creates a complaint, not a customer.
Eligibility and documents
Give a plain checklist for each product. State that the credit decision rests with the bank, so the agent never promises an approval.
Rates and fees
Rates and fees are set centrally. Either print the official sheet or tell the agent to confirm with the branch before quoting. The agent should not state a number that is not on it.
Where to send the lead
Give one route, such as a WhatsApp number or a portal, and the branch contact, with the agent's code on every lead. Leads without a code cannot be credited later.
What an agent may and may not say
Set out the points in the bank's code for agents, such as no promise of approval and no fee from the customer beyond what the bank allows. Check the wording with your own compliance team.
Version and date
Mark the sheet with a version and date, and tell agents to destroy older copies. When a scheme closes, the branch sends a new sheet and records who received it.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the dealer and channel sales work runs

  1. 1

    Audit the current mix

A review of how sales currently flow, direct or through which type of partner, territory by territory.

  2. 2

    Decide the model

A route to market decision made deliberately for each significant territory and product line.

  3. 3

    Set targets and cadence

Targets and a review rhythm built to match the chosen model, not a generic sales process.

  4. 4

    Operate and adjust

The cadence run and adjusted as territories mature or the business scales further.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we keep DSAs aligned with current schemes?
A simple, regularly updated information sheet and a fast channel for them to ask questions, which we help set up and maintain.
Does this replace direct branch marketing?
No, it works alongside it, particularly for reaching customers and areas a branch's own marketing does not cover well.
How do we tell which DSAs send good leads?
Track each lead by agent code through to disbursal, not just to enquiry. An agent who sends many leads that never convert uses up the loan desk's time. Compare agents on conversion and on complaints.
What should we do when a DSA misquotes a rate?
Correct it with the customer first, in writing if needed. Then record the incident and send the agent a written reminder, and escalate to the channel head as your agreement provides. Repeated cases should lead to a review of the arrangement.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
