Banks · Objection handling

Answer why your fixed deposit rate is lower than an NBFC's without sounding defensive.

Objection handling for a bank means preparing staff with honest, confident answers to common concerns. A lower FD rate than an NBFC, slower loan processing than a fintech app, or a fee a customer questions. GullySales builds these answers around your actual, defensible strengths rather than deflection.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What objection handling means

Objection handling is the specific response a salesperson gives to a reason a customer states for not buying, such as price or a need to consult someone else. GullySales collects the objections your team actually hears and writes a tested response for each one.

For banks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The FD rate objection has an honest, safety-based answer”

A trained answer can explain deposit insurance and the safety of a scheduled bank against an NBFC's higher but less protected rate. It gives a customer a real reason to choose safety over yield.

  • “Processing speed objections need a specific, not vague, response”

A customer comparing your loan turnaround to a fintech app responds better to a specific explanation of what your process verifies and why. A vague claim of being thorough does not land.

  • “Fee objections should be answered with what the fee funds”

Explaining specifically what a processing fee or an annual card fee actually covers reduces resistance more than defending the fee's existence alone.

What we do

What we deliver for banks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Rate and safety comparison answers

A prepared, honest answer comparing deposit insurance and scheduled bank safety against a higher but less protected NBFC rate.

Result: A customer has a real reason to choose safety over yield.

  2. Specific processing speed responses

A specific explanation of what your loan process verifies and why, ready for a comparison against a faster fintech app.

Result: A vague claim of being thorough is replaced with a real answer.

  3. Fee objections answered by what they cover

Answers explaining specifically what a processing or card fee funds, rather than defending the fee's existence alone.

Result: A customer understands what they are actually paying for.

  4. Product-specific objection training

Training covering the distinct objections a home loan customer raises against those a savings account customer raises.

Result: Staff have the right answer ready for the product actually being discussed.

How the result is measured

  • Objections overcome versus lost
  • Deals lost by objection type
  • Conversion rate after response training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Common objections and honest answers

Prepare a short answer for each of these and check the facts with your own central teams.

The NBFC pays more on a deposit
Agree that it may. Explain what is being compared: the type of institution, deposit insurance cover and regulation, and let the customer decide. Check current facts with compliance before quoting any limit.
The app approved the loan in minutes
Ask what was offered and on what terms. Say what your bank can do and when, using the loan desk's real process, and never promise a speed you cannot keep.
Your charges are higher
Show the charge sheet and say what each fee covers. If a fee is set centrally, say so and offer to pass the feedback on.
My neighbour's loan was rejected here
Listen without defending. Ask what he heard, offer to look at this customer's own case separately, and explain the documents that decide eligibility.
Your branch is too far
Ask what they need from a branch. If it is cash or paperwork, explain the app, correspondent or doorstep options your bank really offers, and none it does not.
I will think about it
Ask which part is unclear, agree what you will send, and note a date to call. Do not press.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the objection handling work runs

  1. 1

    Collect real objections

We gather the actual objections your team hears, from call notes, conversations with reps and recorded calls where available.

  2. 2

    Categorise and build responses

Objections are grouped by type and a tested, honest response is built for each one.

  3. 3

    Run roleplay training

Reps practise the responses in realistic scenarios until they can deliver them naturally.

  4. 4

    Deploy and coach

The playbook is used on live calls, with coaching where responses are inconsistent or not landing well.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How do we train staff on these objections?
Through a short, practical session covering your most common objections with real, approved answers, refreshed whenever competitive conditions change.
Does this differ by product?
Yes, a home loan customer's objections differ from a savings account customer's, and training should address the specific objections each product actually receives.
How do we record objections so we learn from them?
Add a field to the enquiry sheet for the reason the customer gave for not going ahead, chosen from a short list plus a free line. Read the list with the branch head and loan desk. Repeated complaints about documents point to a process fix, not a better script.
What if staff do not know the answer to an objection?
They say they will find out, and call back as soon as they have it. A wrong answer about rates, safety or fees does more harm than a short wait. Keep a shared sheet of questions raised, with the approved answer from the central team, for the next person.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
