Banks · Sales scripts

Give a call centre agent the right words for an FD renewal call, not improvisation.

Sales scripts for a bank means prepared, natural-sounding talking points for common conversations: an FD renewal call, a cross-sell offer, a document reminder. Staff sound confident and consistent, not improvised each time. GullySales writes these to sound like a person talking, not a recited policy.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales scripts means

A sales script is a written guide for what to say on a call or visit, covering the opening, the questions to ask and the answer to a common objection. GullySales writes these from real recorded calls so the wording matches how your best salesperson already talks.

For banks

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A script should sound like a helpful conversation, not a recitation”

A script written in natural, plain language for an FD renewal call helps a customer feel genuinely assisted, while a stiff, formal script read aloud creates the opposite impression.

  • “Different channels need differently paced scripts”

A phone script needs to establish trust quickly, since the customer cannot see who is speaking. An in-branch conversation can build more naturally, so using the same script for both misses this difference.

  • “Scripts should include a clear point to stop and listen”

A well-built script includes deliberate pauses for the customer to ask a question, rather than a continuous pitch that leaves no room for the customer's actual concern to surface.

What we do

What we deliver for banks.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Natural-language conversation scripts

Scripts for calls such as an FD renewal or a cross-sell offer, written in plain, natural language rather than formal recitation.

Result: A customer feels genuinely assisted, not read to.

  2. Channel-specific script pacing

A phone script built to establish trust quickly, distinct from an in-branch script that can build more naturally.

Result: The pacing matches how trust actually forms in that channel.

  3. Built-in pause points

Deliberate points in the script for the customer to ask a question, rather than a continuous, uninterrupted pitch.

Result: A customer's actual concern gets a chance to surface.

  4. Guide, not word-for-word, training

Staff training on using the script as a guide, so delivery stays natural rather than mechanical.

Result: Staff sound like themselves, not like they are reciting a script.

How the result is measured

  • Script adherence
  • Conversion rate using the script
  • Call length consistency

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Outline for an FD renewal call

An FD renewal call follows an outline the agent can say in their own words.

Open with who is calling and why
Give your name, the bank, and the reason in one sentence. Then ask whether this is a good time. A customer who is asked is far more likely to stay on the line.
Verify before you discuss details
Follow the bank's own verification process before you mention any amount or account detail. If the customer is unsure, offer to have the branch call back.
State the maturity facts as the system shows them
Give the maturity date and the amount as they appear in the record, and nothing more. Do not round them or add a figure from memory.
Ask what the customer plans to do
Ask whether they want to renew, withdraw or move the money. Then stop talking. Many customers have a plan, and the call should follow it, not replace it.
Quote the current published rate only
Read the rate for the tenure from the current rate sheet. If it differs from the old rate, say so plainly. Do not compare with other banks or promise anything beyond the sheet.
Close with the next step, then log it
Say who will do what and by when from the customer's point of view, thank them, and write the outcome in the system. A note someone else can read is part of the call.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales scripts work runs

  1. 1

    Review current messaging

We look at what is currently sent, when, and how it varies between reps.

  2. 2

    Map the follow-up cadence

We agree the timing and channel for each stage of follow-up, from first enquiry onward.

  3. 3

    Write the scripts and templates

Call openers, WhatsApp messages and emails are written specific to your business.

  4. 4

    Train the team

Reps practise using the material naturally, adapting it to their own voice within the agreed structure.

  5. 5

    Review and refine

Response rates are checked and the wording adjusted where it is not landing.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Won't a script make staff sound robotic?
Not if it is written to sound natural and staff are trained to use it as a guide rather than a rigid word-for-word requirement.
How often should scripts be updated?
Whenever a product's terms change, and periodically reviewed against which approaches are actually converting well.
What should an agent do when the customer asks something the script does not cover?
Say he will check, note the question and come back. Do not guess about rates, tax or penalties. Pass the question to the branch or the product team and tell the customer who will answer.
Should the script be in English or in the customer's language?
Use the language the customer picks, and write each version natively rather than translating word for word. Have someone who speaks it daily read the script aloud, since stiff wording shows up fastest on the phone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
