Gold loan and NBFC lenders · Sales training

Train the appraiser to explain the loan as well as weigh the gold.

Sales training for a gold loan or NBFC lender prepares branch staff for the conversations that decide a pledge: the amount offered, the safety of the gold, the scheme, the takeover customer and the angry caller. GullySales builds it from your own branches' lost enquiries and complaints, in the languages your counters speak.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What sales training means

Sales training teaches a sales team a skill it does not yet have, such as handling a specific objection or running a proper site visit, usually through a structured session. GullySales runs these sessions around real objections and calls from your business rather than generic sales theory.

For gold loan and NBFC lenders

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Branch staff are hired to appraise, not to explain”

An appraiser who tests purity well may still say the amount, the rate and nothing else. The borrower compares that silence with the branch down the road that talked him through it.

  • “The safety question is the real objection”

Borrowers worry that the ornaments will be swapped, damaged or lost. Staff who show the sealed packet, the receipt and the vault process answer what the borrower is too polite to ask.

  • “Pressure at the counter costs more than a lost loan”

A borrower pushed into a larger amount or a longer scheme struggles at renewal and complains. Training sets what staff may and may not suggest.

What we do

What we deliver for gold loan and NBFC lenders.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Role-play from real branch situations

Practice sessions built on actual lost enquiries and complaints from your branches, with names removed.

Result: Staff rehearse the conversations they really face.

  2. A valuation walk-through for the counter

How to show the borrower the weight, the stone deduction and the purity reading, step by step, while they watch.

Result: The amount offered is understood, even when it disappoints.

  3. Scheme explanations practised aloud

Each scheme explained by every staff member until it sounds natural in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu or the branch's own language, checked by a senior.

Result: Borrowers hear the scheme the same way at every branch.

  4. A module for new joiners

The first conversations a new appraiser or relationship officer will have, written down with examples, so nobody learns only from whoever trained them.

Result: New staff start with the company's standard, not one branch's habits.

  5. Conduct lines staff must not cross

What may not be promised, pushed or said about rates, approval, auction or other lenders, agreed with compliance and practised.

Result: Staff know the boundary before a borrower tests it.

  6. Observation by the branch manager

A short checklist the manager uses to watch one counter conversation and give feedback the same day.

Result: Training carries on after the session ends.

How the result is measured

  • Skill assessment scores
  • Objection handling improvement
  • Conversion rate after training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Situations to practise

Six conversations a gold loan branch should practise, and what good looks like.

'The other branch gave more for the same chain'
Show the weight, the stone deduction and the purity reading again. Explain how your amount is worked out without criticising the other lender. Practise staying calm when the borrower doubts you.
'Will I get the same ornaments back?'
Show the sealed packet, the pledge receipt and how release works. Answer before they have to ask twice. Practise saying it plainly rather than defensively.
First-time borrower who is embarrassed
Lower your voice, use the private counter and explain the scheme slowly in their language. Practise never discussing the loan where others in the queue can hear.
Caller who only asks the rate per gram
Give the figure the branch is allowed to quote today, then ask what they plan to pledge and when they can come. Practise turning a rate call into a visit.
Takeover customer asking you to match an offer
Ask what the other lender offered in writing and set your scheme beside it. Offer only what your rules allow. Practise saying no to a match you cannot make.
Angry borrower holding an overdue notice
Listen first, check the reminders on record, then explain the options: pay the interest, part pay, renew or close. Practise not arguing about whose fault it was.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for gold loan and NBFC lenders

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace how last season's pledges arrived, by branch and by source, and look at how many due dates passed without a call and how many closed borrowers never returned.

  2. 2

    Fix the branch front door

Maps listings, phone numbers that someone answers, a rate board and a scheme sheet the counter staff use, branch by branch.

  3. 3

Set the reminder and release routine

Due-date calls, renewal offers and the after-closure call written down, with who makes each one and what gets recorded.

  4. 4

    Run the seasons

Campaigns timed to sowing, school fees, harvest and the festival months, with wording your compliance officer approved before the season starts.

  5. 5

    Measure by branch

Enquiries, new pledges, renewals and returning borrowers counted per branch against the baseline, so the branch that needs help is visible to head office.

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our staff are shy about role-play. Will it still work?
Yes, if it starts small and uses their own branch's situations. Pair two colleagues, play one real conversation, and let the senior appraiser comment. Staff relax once they see the cases are ones they already know.
Should new joiners sit at the counter straight away?
Not alone. Let them watch the appraiser first, then handle the scheme explanation while a senior does the valuation, then take whole conversations with a senior nearby. Write down what they must say correctly before they work alone.
Should we give staff a word-for-word script?
For conduct lines and disclosures, yes, so nobody improvises a promise. For the rest, teach the points to cover and let staff use their own words in the borrower's language. A recited script sounds recited.
Can the training cover recovery calls too?
Yes, as a separate module. Recovery conversations fall under your fair practice code and conduct rules, which differ by licence and change. Your compliance officer sets what may be said, and the training practises it with real call examples used with consent.
Can we advertise our gold loan amount per gram?
Yes, if the figure is current and its conditions travel with it. The amount per gram moves with the gold price, so a printed hoarding goes stale. Put the live figure on the branch board and in Maps posts, and have your compliance officer approve how rates and charges are shown.
Will your team speak to our borrowers about their loans?
No. We write the reminder wording, set up the call lists and the records, and train your staff. Any conversation about a borrower's loan, the appraisal or the amount stays with your branch team, because the licence and the relationship are yours.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
