Dermatology clinics · Pay per click advertising

Show up for laser hair removal searches without paying for clicks from the wrong condition.

PPC for dermatologists means paying for clicks on searches such as laser hair removal or acne scar treatment, and sending each click to a page that books a consultation. Advert text for a clinic is regulated, so GullySales writes it from the consultation and not from the result, has the doctor approve it, and tracks which clicks became a booked visit.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend against enquiries received.

Last updated 8 Nov 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For dermatology clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Cosmetic procedures justify the spend”

Treatments such as botox, fillers and laser hair removal are searched by patients ready to compare and book. That makes paid search more efficient here than for a medical concern that patients already search for organically.

  • “The landing page must show a doctor and a clear process”

An ad for anti-ageing treatment sending a patient to a generic homepage loses the click. One landing on a page showing the dermatologist's qualification, registration and what the consultation involves converts more of them. Result photographs stay off it unless your council confirms they are allowed.

  • “Negative keywords keep spend away from free-treatment searches”

Searches for home remedies or free consultations waste budget if not excluded, since these searchers rarely convert into a paid procedure booking.

  • “Advert copy starts from the consultation, not the result”

A regulated clinic cannot promise an outcome, so the advert names the treatment, the place, the doctor and what the first visit covers. That is also what a patient comparing clinics wants to read.

What we do

What we deliver for dermatology clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Campaigns aimed at cosmetic and elective procedures

Advertising built around treatments such as laser hair removal, fillers and anti-ageing treatment, where patients already compare and book.

Result: Spend goes toward searches that are ready to become a paid booking.

  2. Landing page showing the doctor and the process

A page for each advertised treatment showing the dermatologist's qualification and registration and what the consultation involves, matched to the ad clicked.

Result: A patient who clicks lands on the information they were looking for.

  3. Negative keyword list excluding free-treatment searches

Search terms such as home remedies or free consultation excluded from campaigns, so budget is not spent on searches unlikely to convert.

Result: Spend is kept away from clicks that were never going to book.

  4. Booked-consultation tracking on every campaign

Tracking set up to follow a click through to an actual booked consultation, not just a page visit.

Result: The clinic can tell which advertisement produced a real appointment.

  5. Report on spend against bookings

A report comparing advertising spend to booked consultations by treatment, against the baseline set before work started.

Result: The clinic can see which campaign is worth continuing.

  6. Advert text written to a regulated-clinic checklist

Each headline and description checked against a written list: no promise of a result, no comparison with another clinic, the doctor's name and qualification stated, any offer cleared with your adviser. The doctor signs off every version.

Result: No advert goes live that the doctor has not read.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches to bid on and block

The searches worth paying for at a skin clinic, and the ones to keep out.

Treatment plus area, such as laser hair removal in your locality
Bid. This patient is comparing clinics for a treatment you offer. Give each treatment its own ad group, and list only treatments you perform on machines you own.
Cost and price searches, such as acne scar treatment cost
Bid, with care. The searcher is close to booking. Say what the consultation covers instead of quoting a headline price, and check your council's current rules on offers and discounts.
Home remedy, free, course, job and machine searches
Block. Add home remedy, natural, free, homemade, ayurvedic, course, receptionist job, nurse vacancy and machine price as negatives. These searchers want self-help, a job or a machine, and will click, read and leave.
Writing the advert text
Headline: the treatment and the area. Description: the doctor's name, qualification, what the consultation covers and how to book. Leave out cure, guaranteed, permanent, flawless, best and any comparison with another clinic. The doctor approves each version.
Before-and-after images in adverts
Treat as off until cleared. Your council's rules and the ad platform's health policy both apply, and both change. Get the answer in writing from your own adviser. A patient's consent to use a photograph is a separate document and covers only what it names.
Where the click lands, and what counts as an enquiry
Send each click to the page for that treatment, with the doctor's name, qualification and registration number and a WhatsApp button. Count a booked consultation, a call that reached the desk, or a photograph that got a reply, and mark who attended.

Who it is for

This is written for these dermatology clinics.

  • Solo dermatologist clinics

  • Dermatology hospitals with in-patient procedures
  • Cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology clinics
  • Hair transplant and trichology centres
  • Skin and laser clinics inside malls or commercial complexes

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your landing pages are still the home page, and a patient who clicked for a laser would find a general clinic page
  • You cannot answer a call or a form within the working day, so paid clicks would be lost at the first contact
  • You plan to use before-and-after images in ads, which the platform and the council may both restrict

How it works

How the pay per click advertising work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the whole budget

We fix the total paid budget across platforms, who owns each ad account, and how much is open to moving.

  2. 2

    Audit tracking and accounts

We check that conversions fire once, that calls and WhatsApp chats are counted, and that your enquiry sheet matches what the platforms say.

  3. 3

    Set one definition of success

You and we agree what a qualified enquiry is and what an order is, so every platform is judged the same way.

  4. 4

    Build and launch the plan

Campaigns are structured across platforms with shared naming and tags from day one.

  5. 5

Read search terms and lead quality

We review the queries that triggered ads and the enquiries that arrived, and remove waste before moving money.

  6. 6

    Reallocate and report

Budget moves toward what is earning, within agreed limits. Results are reported against the baseline, at the frequency agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we advertise medical treatments too?
Less heavily. Patients already search directly for conditions such as eczema or fungal infection, so the budget does more work on cosmetic procedures, where clinics compete for clicks.
How do we measure success beyond clicks?
By consultations actually booked and attended from the ad, since a click that never becomes an appointment has cost money without result.
Should we bid on our own clinic and doctor name?
Yes, in a small separate campaign. A patient who types your name is already half decided, and an aggregator or a rival clinic may otherwise sit above you. It is the cheapest click you will buy, so report it apart from first-time searches.
Can the advertisement ask patients to send a photograph of their skin?
Better to take the photograph after the click, on WhatsApp, with the patient's consent and a named person at the desk who reads it. Keep the advertisement itself to the treatment and the booking. Check your council's rules on what advertisements may say.
How is ad copy written for a dermatology clinic?
From the consultation outward. The headline carries the treatment and the area. The description carries the doctor's name, qualification and what the first visit covers. Words of outcome such as cure, guaranteed, permanent or best stay out. The doctor reads every version, and you keep a dated copy of what ran.
Can we use before-and-after photos in Google or Instagram ads?
Check this first with your own council and adviser. Rules on how a doctor shows results are strict, and ad platforms keep their own policies on health and body images, which change. Until you have a clear written answer, run the advert without result images and show the doctor, the clinic and the consultation instead.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
