Doctors and general clinics · Email marketing

Email reaches the HR head, and WhatsApp reaches the family.

Email is the weaker channel for an Indian clinic's patients and the right one for corporate health checks, pre-employment medicals and report delivery. GullySales builds the list from the employers nearby, records consent at registration, and keeps promotional content out of it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For doctors and general clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Families do not open email and companies use nothing else”

A mother reads a WhatsApp reminder and ignores a newsletter, while an HR head will not accept a proposal any other way.

  • “The report mail is the one that always gets opened”

A lab report sent by email is read the same hour, which makes it the one place a next-due date genuinely belongs.

  • “Consent is collected at the desk or not at all”

A line on the registration form is the difference between a usable list and a pile of addresses nobody agreed to give you.

What we do

What we deliver for doctors and general clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A consent line added to registration

A clear tick on the form and in the clinic software recording who agreed to hear from you, with an easy way to stop it later.

Result: Your list belongs to people who asked to be on it.

  2. A corporate health check proposal

Packages, the tests included, on-site options and charges, written for the HR or admin head at the offices and factories near the clinic.

Result: A company can circulate it without asking you questions.

  3. A list of the employers within reach

Offices, factories, schools and hostels nearby, with the person who arranges medicals found properly rather than bought from a data seller.

Result: You write to people who can sign an order.

  4. Report delivery with the next due date on it

A template for sending lab reports that carries the follow-up date and the clinic timings, and no promotional material at all.

Result: The reminder arrives inside a mail that gets opened.

  5. An annual check reminder for patients who opted in

A short factual note to families whose check was a year ago, with the tests, the fasting instruction and how to book.

Result: Preventive checks become a habit families keep.

  6. Opens, replies and bookings reported

What was sent, who replied and which mails produced a booking or a corporate enquiry, against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You learn whether the corporate list is worth the effort.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a general clinic needs in place before it sends any email.

Consent taken at registration
Ask for the email address on the registration form and note what it will be used for: reports, receipts, appointment notes. Tick-box consent for promotional mail is separate and optional. Keep both records in the file.
A corporate list built from real contacts
For health checks and pre-employment medicals, list the HR and admin contacts of employers within reach. Take their addresses from visiting cards, enquiries and tie-up meetings, not from a purchased database.
Reports sent through a protected route
Lab reports are personal health data. Send them as a password-protected file or a secure link, tell the patient how to open it, and never put a diagnosis in the subject line.
Health tips kept general
General wellness mail is allowed to be general. Keep individual advice, diagnoses and medicine names out of bulk mail. Advertising rules for doctors differ by state and council, so check with your own council.
A reply path to the front desk
Use the clinic domain with a reply-to monitored by the receptionist. A corporate HR manager who asks for a package rate should hear from a person, not a mailbox nobody opens.

  • Physicians and internal medicine consultants in private practice

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we email health tips to our patients?
Only to people who agreed to hear from you, kept factual, with no cure claims and no named medicine. Anything that reads as soliciting is a matter for your council's conduct rules rather than for us. Your council or your adviser is the one to confirm.
Is a corporate tie-up worth the effort for a small clinic?
For pre-employment medicals and annual checks, yes in most cases, because the volume is booked and the payment is one invoice. It also brings employees back as private patients. Start with the two or three employers closest to your door.
Should we email patients their prescriptions?
Only if the patient asked for it and the file goes through a protected route. A prescription is personal health data. Many patients will prefer a printed copy or a message from the clinic number, so offer email as a choice, not the default.
How do we get a company's HR to answer a health-check proposal?
Send it to the person who signs for employee welfare, with a one-page scope, the tests included and a contact for questions. Offer an on-site visit to talk it through. A forwardable page beats a long document.
Is a doctor allowed to advertise in India?
Only in a limited way. The National Medical Commission's professional conduct rules bar doctors from soliciting patients or claiming to be better than others. Factual announcements, such as your name, qualifications, timings and address, are allowed. The rules have been revised and put on hold in recent years, so we check the position in force with you before anything goes live.
Can we post patient reviews and testimonials on our website?
We do not write or display testimonials as promotional material for a doctor. Patients can leave reviews on Google and Practo on their own, and we help you ask for them after a visit and reply politely without discussing any medical detail.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
