Hospitals · Digital marketing

Put search, Maps, WhatsApp and ads to work for the departments that need them.

Digital marketing for a hospital is search visibility, the Google Business Profile, WhatsApp for reports and appointments, and paid campaigns for specific departments. It should work as one system rather than separate efforts. GullySales runs all of it and reports which channel brought which admission.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For hospitals

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Each department needs a different channel mix”

Emergency care depends on the Maps listing, IVF depends on content and reviews, and a new wing depends on search ads at first.

  • “WhatsApp is now part of clinical communication”

Appointment reminders and report delivery on WhatsApp reduce no-shows and free the front desk from repeat calls.

  • “One dashboard, not five logins”

The administrator sees enquiries from search, Maps, ads and referrals in one place instead of checking each platform separately.

What we do

What we deliver for hospitals.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel mix set per department

A different plan for each department, Maps for emergency care, content and reviews for IVF, search ads for a new wing.

Result: Each department gets the channel that actually reaches its patients.

  2. WhatsApp for reports and appointments

A working setup for sending reports and appointment reminders on WhatsApp, reducing repeat calls to the front desk.

Result: Fewer calls tie up the desk asking about something already sent.

  3. One enquiry dashboard

Enquiries from search, Maps, ads and referrals brought into one place instead of five separate logins.

Result: The administrator sees the full picture without checking each platform.

  4. A channel and admission report

A report showing which channel brought which admission, reviewed against the departments running active campaigns.

Result: Spend and effort can shift towards what is actually bringing admissions.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for a hospital

Make every call and department findable before you pay to be seen.

Google Business Profile for each branch
Check the name, address, emergency and OPD hours, department list and phone numbers. Record the calls and direction requests that arrive.
A page for each department
Write the department's services, the doctors' own details, the OPD timings and how to book, within the rules of your council. Count the calls that mention a page.
Call and referral log
Record each call by department, source and result, including the night line. Review the log with the department heads.
WhatsApp for appointments and reports
Use a verified business number for bookings and report delivery, with patient consent. Keep clinical advice off the channel, and record the response time.
Insurance and TPA information
Put the empanelled insurers and the documents needed on a simple page. Note the questions the TPA desk gets each day.
What to leave until later
Broad paid campaigns and treatment videos. Advertising rules for hospitals differ by state and body and change, so check with your own council before you pay for reach.

Who it is for

This is written for these hospitals.

  • Multi-speciality hospitals
  • Single-speciality hospitals, maternity, orthopaedic or eye
  • Nursing homes
  • Day-care surgery centres
  • Corporate hospital chains with several branches
  • Diagnostic-centre-led hospitals
  • Hospitals attached to medical colleges
  • Government-empanelled private hospitals

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The website still has no page for each department, so search, Maps and ads would have nowhere good to send a family.
  • No one at the hospital can approve and publish content, and the work would stall waiting for a signature.
  • You have not decided which department needs patients, so spending across all channels would only scatter the effort.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a hospital start?
With the Google Business Profile and the reply routine, since most enquiries already arrive there.
How is this different from an ad agency?
We work marketing and the front desk together, so an enquiry is answered and tracked, not just generated.
Who should approve what the hospital publishes?
Name one person, usually the medical director or a delegate, to approve each department page and message. Keep call handling and patient messages with your own staff. Advertising rules for hospitals differ by state and body, so check with your council.
How do we know which department an advert filled?
Give each department its own tracked number or booking link, and ask each caller what prompted the call. Match the log with admissions from the registration desk. Referral doctors and word of mouth will appear as well.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
