Home renovation companies · Buyer persona

Know whether the owner in front of you is renovating, resettling or about to let.

A buyer persona for a renovation company is a written description of who commissions a job, what they fear and who else sits in on the decision. GullySales works on building these from your own enquiry and quote records, so each site-visit conversation fits the person across the table.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For home renovation companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The ageing-home owner fears cost drift”

An owner who has lived in the flat for years has watched neighbours' jobs run over. The question is not the price but whether the figure will hold once the walls are open.

  • “The resale buyer fears the clock”

Someone who has just bought needs to move in before rent and loan instalments pile up together. They weigh a clear handover date and a team that finishes what it starts above the lowest total.

  • “The NRI decides remotely and trusts a relative's eyes”

The person who signs is abroad, and the person who visits is a parent or sibling. They need two different conversations: the first wants photographs and reports, the second wants someone who explains.

  • “The landlord wants rentable, not beautiful”

An owner readying a flat for tenants asks what the smallest spend is that gets it let. Selling that owner a showpiece loses the job to a painter. They want a list that separates must-do from nice-to-have.

What we do

What we deliver for home renovation companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets drawn from your own records

One page per buyer type, built from your enquiry sheet, quote history and the reasons owners gave when they chose someone else.

Result: Each persona is backed by jobs you actually quoted.

  2. Question lists for each persona

The questions each buyer type asks at the first call and at the quote stage, with plain answers for the team.

Result: Anyone on the team can answer as the engineer would.

  3. Quote cover notes by persona

A short note placed on top of the bill of quantities, written for the worry of that buyer type.

Result: The first thing the owner reads speaks to their fear.

  4. Page copy written to each persona

Opening lines and calls to action on job pages matched to the buyer who lands there.

Result: A resale buyer and a landlord see different first paragraphs.

  5. A decision-maker note at the site visit

A field recording who else in the household or society must agree before the owner signs.

Result: You know whose doubts the quote must answer.

  6. A review of lost jobs

A look at quotes that went elsewhere, grouped by persona and by the reason given.

Result: You can see which buyer type you lose, and where.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Where does the persona information come from?
From your own enquiry sheet, quote history and the reasons owners gave for choosing another contractor. Nothing is invented. Where records are thin, begin recording them at the next site visit and build the persona as they fill.
How many personas do we need?
Only as many as change what you say or do. If the resale buyer and the ageing-home owner get the same conversation, they are one persona for your purposes. Separate them when the questions, timing or decision-maker differ.
Do personas change from city to city?
Housing stock, society rules and who decides differ between cities, so check each against the jobs you have done there. Keep a separate note for a city where you have too few jobs to say.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
