Locksmiths · Follow up systems

Ring back the 2am call you missed and the quote that went quiet.

Follow-up for a locksmith is what happens to the call nobody answered and the quote nobody replied to. The lockout is over by morning, but the drilled cylinder still has to be replaced. GullySales builds the call-back list, the second contact on a quote, and the note that records why each one ended.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What follow up systems means

A follow-up system is the set routine for calling, messaging or emailing an enquiry more than once, since most buyers do not decide on the first conversation. GullySales sets the number and timing of follow-ups so an undecided buyer keeps hearing from you until they decide either way.

For locksmiths

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The call you slept through at 2am is still worth returning at nine”

Somebody else opened that door, or the door was forced. Either way there is a lock to replace, and a customer who has just learned they had nobody to call.

  • “A digital lock quote goes quiet because they are comparing”

The second contact is what wins it: the model, what the price covers, the warranty and who does the fitting. A message saying just checking loses to the locksmith who sends the specification.

  • “A society decision waits for the committee meeting”

Write down the meeting date when you hand over the quote and follow up around it. Ringing the secretary every few days irritates the one person whose recommendation decides the contract.

What we do

What we deliver for locksmiths.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A missed-call list pulled off the phone each morning

Every unanswered number from the night before in one list, with the time it came in, ready to be worked through before the first job.

Result: The call you slept through turns into a lock replacement.

  2. Wording for the morning call back

What to say to somebody who was locked out at 2am: what usually happens to a cylinder in an emergency opening, and what putting it right costs.

Result: The call back is useful to them instead of awkward for you.

  3. Quote follow-up with the specification attached again

The model, the inclusions, the warranty and the fitting sent a second time in writing, so the customer comparing three locksmiths has your paper in hand.

Result: Your quote is the one they can actually compare against.

  4. Society and office quotes followed around the meeting date

The committee's meeting date recorded at the time the quote is given, and the next contact timed to it rather than to a weekly reminder.

Result: You call the secretary when there is something to decide.

  5. A fixed slot in the day for these calls

One time of day, a written list and the phone, because follow-up does not happen between jobs and never has.

Result: The list gets worked instead of remembered.

  6. The reason lost, written against every dead enquiry

Price, someone else came first, put off till next year, outside the area: recorded in a word or two for each enquiry that ended.

Result: You learn which kind of quote to stop chasing.

  7. Recovered jobs counted against the baseline

The work that came back from a call back or a second quote, counted against the enquiry figures recorded before this started.

Result: You can see what the follow-up is worth in jobs, not effort.

How the result is measured

  • Follow-up completion rate
  • Average number of follow-ups before close
  • Enquiries closed after repeat follow-up

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these locksmiths.

  • Emergency and 24-hour locksmiths
  • Automotive locksmiths and key programming specialists
  • Residential lock and security installers
  • Commercial and office locksmith services
  • Safe installation and repair specialists
  • Smart lock and digital security installers
  • Society and RWA-contracted locksmiths

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for locksmiths

  1. 1

Audit the call and response process

We check how fast a call or WhatsApp message is answered at different times of day, and whether the listing shows a real response time.

  2. 2

    Fix the local listing

The Business Profile completed with service area, verification details and real job photographs, so the locksmith appears for near me searches.

  3. 3

    Build a 24-hour answer routine

A call and WhatsApp routine that works outside office hours, so an 11pm emergency is answered as reliably as a daytime call.

  4. 4

    Build job-specific pages

A page for car key programming, digital lock installation and other planned jobs, separate from the emergency lockout page.

  5. 5

Offer the upgrade after the emergency

A short follow-up after an emergency call, offering a digital lock or security upgrade while the customer is still thinking about their locks.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

I am on jobs all day. When am I supposed to follow up?
Not between jobs. Pick one slot, the same time daily, with the list written down in front of you. Ten call backs take twenty minutes. If you cannot hold that slot, the list and the phone belong with whoever is at the shop or at home during the day.
How many times do we chase a quote before giving up?
Two or three, and each one needs a reason to call: the specification, whether the price still holds, when your fitter is free. After that, stop and write down why it ended. Those reasons are what tell you which quotes are worth chasing next season.
How do you handle trust and verification for a locksmith?
We show your police verification, your technicians' photographs and ID, and real job photos on the listing. A customer about to let a stranger open their door checks those first.
Can this work for a one-person locksmith business?
Yes. Most of the work is the listing, the answer routine and the job pages, which a single technician can keep up. The after-hours routine matters even more when one phone takes every call.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
