Locksmiths · Review generation

Ask before you drive away, because you will never reach them again.

A locksmith gets one chance to ask. The job is paid in cash at the gate, the customer has no account with you and by tomorrow they will not remember your name, so the request has to happen while you are still standing there. GullySales works out the ask, who makes it, and what to do when a customer is too embarrassed to write one.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What review generation means

Review generation is the routine of asking satisfied customers to leave a Google or platform review at the moment they are happiest, rather than hoping they remember later. GullySales builds the request into your existing follow-up steps and tracks how many turn into a review.

For locksmiths

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “There is no customer list to message later”

No booking, no invoice on email, no order history. Unless the number goes down on the job sheet and the ask is made on site, that customer is gone the moment the door shuts.

  • “Nobody wants to tell the internet they locked themselves out at 2am”

That is why emergency jobs produce so few reviews. Ask them to describe the work instead of the situation: the lock that was fitted, how long it took, that you came out at that hour. The embarrassment goes and the review appears.

  • “Your written reviews will come from the planned jobs”

A society secretary, an office admin or a builder's site engineer will write one, because their name is on the decision and the relationship continues. The panicked resident at midnight rarely will, and the ask has to be aimed accordingly.

What we do

What we deliver for locksmiths.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A number and permission captured on the job sheet

The customer's number written down at the time of payment, with a line asking whether you may send them the link, because there is no other record of them.

Result: The emergency customer can still be reached tomorrow.

  2. An ask the technician can make without cringing

Ten words for the man packing his tools, pointed at the work rather than the lockout, tested on jobs before it goes into the briefing.

Result: The person who did the job makes the ask and means it.

  3. A separate ask for society, office and builder work

A short written request to the secretary or the site engineer once an installation is signed off, since these are the customers who will actually put their name to something.

Result: Your steady reviews come from the jobs that repeat.

  4. Prompts that get the lock and the area named

Two lines suggesting the customer mention the type of work and the locality, so a review reads digital lock fitted in a named area rather than good work.

Result: Reviews carry the words the next caller is searching.

  5. A rule about when not to ask

No ask after a price argument, after a job that ran long, or where the customer is clearly upset, agreed in advance so nobody improvises at the gate.

Result: You stop inviting the reviews you do not want.

  6. New reviews counted by job type

Emergency openings, lock changes, digital lock fittings and society contracts counted separately against the figure recorded before the work began.

Result: You can see which jobs are worth asking after.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these locksmiths.

  • Emergency and 24-hour locksmiths

  • Safe installation and repair specialists
  • Smart lock and digital security installers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for locksmiths

  1. 1

Audit the call and response process

We check how fast a call or WhatsApp message is answered at different times of day, and whether the listing shows a real response time.

  2. 2

    Fix the local listing

The Business Profile completed with service area, verification details and real job photographs, so the locksmith appears for near me searches.

  3. 3

    Build a 24-hour answer routine

A call and WhatsApp routine that works outside office hours, so an 11pm emergency is answered as reliably as a daytime call.

  4. 4

    Build job-specific pages

A page for car key programming, digital lock installation and other planned jobs, separate from the emergency lockout page.

  5. 5

Offer the upgrade after the emergency

A short follow-up after an emergency call, offering a digital lock or security upgrade while the customer is still thinking about their locks.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

  • A baseline before anything starts

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we offer money off for a review?
No. Platforms remove paid reviews and can restrict your listing, and for a trade that lives on the listing that is a bad trade to make. If you want more reviews, ask on site at the moment the customer is relieved, which is free and works better.
Our technicians will not ask. What do we do?
Give them one sentence and a card with the link printed on it, and stop expecting them to improvise. Most technicians dislike asking because they think they are asking for a favour. Frame it as the thing that brings the next job to the van and they will do it.
How do you handle trust and verification for a locksmith?
We show your police verification, your technicians' photographs and ID, and real job photos on the listing. A customer about to let a stranger open their door checks those first.
Can this work for a one-person locksmith business?
Yes. Most of the work is the listing, the answer routine and the job pages, which a single technician can keep up. The after-hours routine matters even more when one phone takes every call.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
