Moving companies · Local SEO

You have no storefront, so the service area is the whole listing.

Local search puts a moving company on the map for towns where it has no office, which is the normal situation in this trade. GullySales sets up the service area listing, the trust details a nervous customer checks, and the review routine that keeps the profile ranking.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For moving companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A yard on an industrial road is not where your customers are”

Your warehouse sits where rent is cheap and your customers live twenty miles away. Set up as a service area business or the map keeps you out of the neighbourhoods you work.

  • “Proximity decides the badge as well as the map”

How near you appear to the searcher affects both. Which suburbs you claim is a business decision about drive time and crew hours, not a marketing one.

  • “Photographs of the crew do more than photographs of trucks”

A customer is deciding whether to let four strangers into the house. Uniformed movers, blankets and a wrapped sofa say more than a truck on a highway.

  • “Your licence numbers belong on the profile”

A customer checking for rogue movers wants the USDOT number and the state licence where they can see them. Most competitors leave them buried in a footer.

What we do

What we deliver for moving companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A service area listing set up correctly

Address hidden where there is no public office, service areas set to the towns your crews work, and categories chosen for local, long distance and storage.

Result: You appear in the suburbs you actually serve.

  2. Trust details shown on the profile itself

USDOT and MC numbers, the state household goods licence and insurance noted where a customer can find them, with your attorney confirming your state's wording.

Result: The rogue mover check takes thirty seconds.

  3. Photographs of crews, equipment and packing

Uniformed movers, blankets, wrapped furniture and a truck outside a normal house, refreshed each season.

Result: A customer sees the people who will arrive.

  4. The caller's questions answered in advance

Stairs, elevators, parking permits, storage between dates and what happens if a closing moves, written into the profile's questions section.

Result: Objections get settled before the phone rings.

  5. A review routine that never stops

Requests after every completed move with a reply to each, so the newest review is never from last summer.

Result: The profile stays ranked between seasons.

  6. Map position tracked by town and service

Where you appear for local, long distance and storage searches in each town, reported against the starting position.

Result: You can see the suburbs you are invisible in.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a family or an office finds packers and movers nearby, and what to fix first.

Mover category
Choose mover or packers and movers, and add storage service only if you have a warehouse. Callers who want a tempo for a single wardrobe belong to a different category.
Move types as services
List household shifting, office relocation, car transport, intercity move and packing only as separate services. A customer searches the exact move.
Transit insurance and papers
Say whether you give transit insurance and a goods receipt. A family checks this before it lets a truck leave with its furniture.
Approval and GST details
Show registrations or approvals you actually hold, such as an association membership, and the GST name. Fake movers copy these, so use ones that are real.
Photographs of crews at work
Show the crew with uniform, the wrapping and the loading. A customer trusts what the customer can picture at the door.

Who it is for

This is written for these moving companies.

  • Local household movers billing by the hour
  • Long-distance carriers running their own authority
  • Van line agents
  • Office and commercial relocation specialists
  • Senior move and downsizing specialists
  • Labour-only loading and unloading crews
  • Packing, crating and specialty item movers
  • Storage and containerised storage operators
  • Junk removal and clear-out services
  • New companies running one or two trucks

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we list an office we do not staff?
Not as a storefront, and a fake address gets the listing suspended when somebody complains. Hide the address, set service areas, and include the warehouse only if a person is there during your stated hours.
Should we create a listing for every town we serve?
No. One listing with correct service areas is the supported way to do it, and duplicates get removed. Build town pages on your website instead, and let the single profile carry the map.
Fake packers and movers copy our name. What can we do?
Report the copy through the platform's current process, and show your own registrations, GST and photographs on your profile. Tell customers on the website how to verify you. Do not copy their tactics.
Should we put a price range on the profile?
Only if you will honour it. Moves differ by distance, floor, lift and volume, so give the factors a quote depends on instead of a figure. A customer who sees one price and receives another leaves a review that stays.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
