Moving companies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the route and the specialty, not for the word movers.

Search engine optimisation for a moving company is about searches that arrive with a date attached: movers in a suburb, long distance to another state, piano movers. GullySales builds those pages, ties them to the reviews a nervous customer reads, and fixes what keeps them off page one.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For moving companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The lead marketplaces rank above you for your own town”

Comparison sites occupy the first page and then sell your own search back to you as a shared lead. Your town and route pages are what compete with them.

  • “Long distance searches name two cities”

Movers from Columbus to Charlotte is a different page from movers in Columbus. Each route page is small, quick to write and almost uncontested.

  • “Specialty searches convert far better than general ones”

Piano movers, gun safe movers, senior downsizing, labour only. Fewer searches, less competition, and a customer who cannot use the cheapest mover in town.

  • “Your reviews decide whether the ranking pays”

Somebody who finds you on page one still reads the profile before dialling. A top ranking beside a 3.6 average sends the call to the mover below you.

What we do

What we deliver for moving companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each area your crews actually work

Towns and suburbs written around the buildings, parking and stairs that make a move there different, rather than the same paragraph with a name swapped.

Result: A local search finds a page about the local job.

  2. Route pages for the moves you already repeat

The city pairs your trucks run, each with the distance, the usual timing and what an interstate move involves.

Result: Long distance searches land on a page written for them.

  3. Specialty pages carrying their own detail

Piano, safe, antique, senior downsizing and labour-only pages with the equipment, the crew size and the questions each one raises.

Result: The jobs with the best margin get their own front door.

  4. Trust details placed where they are read

USDOT and MC numbers, the state licence, insurance and the claims route on the pages themselves, with your attorney confirming what your state requires.

Result: A customer worried about rogue movers can check you quickly.

  5. The estimate explanation given a page of its own

What binding, binding not-to-exceed and non-binding mean for the final bill, written with your estimator.

Result: Search brings customers who already understand the quote.

  6. Reporting by page and service

Positions, visits, calls and booked jobs for each area, route and specialty page, against the baseline recorded before work began.

Result: You can see which page fills the truck.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a customer types before booking a mover, and the page that answers it.

movers from Columbus to Charlotte
A route page. Say which stops your trucks make, what the crew does at each end and how the inventory sets the price. Add reviews from people who made that move.
piano movers near me
A specialty page. Name the piano types, the equipment and crew you use, the stairs and tight corners you can handle, and what you ask the customer to measure and photograph first.
labor only movers to load a truck
A labour page. Say how the hourly crew is booked, what is included, whether you provide the truck, and what happens when the job runs past the booked hours.
senior downsizing and move manager
A senior page. Explain the steps from sorting to settling in, who comes to the home, how family members are kept informed, and how items for donation or sale are handled.
binding vs non-binding moving estimate
An estimate page. Explain each type in plain words, which you offer, and how the final bill is set. Link it from every route and service page so a customer reaches it before dialling.
apartment movers with elevator reservation
An apartment page. List what building managers ask for, such as certificates of insurance and elevator bookings, how you handle parking and floor protection, and what a resident must arrange.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How many city pages should we have?
One for each town your crews genuinely work, and no more. Forty thin pages for suburbs you never drive to look like filler and get treated as such. Ten honest pages beat forty copies.
Does search work help before summer?
Only if the pages went up in winter. Rankings take months, and a June move is searched for in April. Publish in the quiet season and the pages are ready when the phone starts.
Should we put customer reviews on our own pages as well?
Yes, matched to the page: a route review on the route page, a piano review on the piano page. Link to the original profile so a visitor can check it. A single wall of reviews on the home page does less.
Should the quote form ask for an inventory list?
Yes, but keep it short: rooms, large items, stairs and the date. A long form loses people. A short one with a photograph upload gives the estimator enough to call back with a sensible range.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
