Manufacturing · Aerospace & Defence Components

Our welders are certified, yet buyers still think we only do structural steel.

Fabrication is a wide word. A buyer of aircraft panels and ducting does not want the same shop as a buyer of shed structures, and the website that treats them alike loses the first one. Weld procedure, material, forming method and inspection are what they look for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

An engineer checks aerospace components at an inspection bench

In one paragraph

Aerospace fabrication is the forming, welding and assembly of sheet and plate parts such as panels, ducts, brackets, frames and ground-support structures to an aerospace drawing. GullySales shows the fabricator to the buyers who need that work and keeps each quotation moving until it becomes a first-article order.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for aerospace & defence components differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if aerospace fabrication is what you make or sell.

  • Sheet-metal shops forming aluminium and stainless panels, ducts and brackets
  • Welding shops with documented procedures and qualified welders
  • Fabricators making ground-support equipment, trolleys and handling frames
  • Assembly shops that join machined and formed parts into a delivered sub-assembly

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A fabrication shop that works only to rough tolerances and does not keep weld records.
  • A shop that wants aerospace work but will not document its welders or procedures.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of aerospace fabrication.

  1. Weld procedure and welder records

The buyer asks which weld procedures you hold, who is qualified and how records are kept. A page that lists these in plain terms is read before the call.

  2. Forming and flatness on thin material

Thin aluminium and stainless sheet distorts. Buyers look for the forming equipment and the fixture practice that keeps parts flat.

  3. Drawing-based quotation

The RFQ includes a drawing, a quantity and a delivery date. The quotation is compared on completeness as much as price.

  4. Plant visit and process audit

A buyer's team walks the floor to see the weld bay, the inspection area and how material is segregated. Photographs on your site are the pre-visit.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell aerospace fabrication.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We get structural steel enquiries, not aerospace ones”

A generic fabrication page draws generic fabrication work. Separate pages for sheet and weld work to aerospace drawings change who enquires.

  • “Our weld records are good but invisible”

The qualification certificates and test coupons sit in a file. Describing them, without exposing anything confidential, is the proof a quality team wants.

  • “Assemblies need several vendors and we lose the thread”

A buyer wanting a finished sub-assembly asks about machining, finishing and fitting. If the shop cannot say how it coordinates them, the buyer goes to a larger vendor.

What we do

What you get for aerospace fabrication.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A welding and forming capability sheet

Lists procedures, materials, thickness range and equipment. It gets attached to vendor questionnaires.

  2. A plant walk-through page

Photographs and short captions of each area, giving the buyer a view before the audit visit.

  3. An RFQ form for fabricated parts

Collects the drawing, material, thickness and quantity so quoting starts with complete facts.

  4. A follow-up routine for quotations gone quiet

Sets a date and an owner for every open quote.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries with a drawing
  • Quotation requests received and answered
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Plant visits requested by buyers
  • Trial orders won
  • Repeat orders

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Equipment list for forming, welding and cutting
  • Welder qualification and procedure records you can describe
  • Photographs of your floor, fixtures and inspection area
  • Past quotations to aerospace or equipment buyers
  • Samples of drawings you have quoted, with names removed

Export and new regions

Selling aerospace fabrication beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas fabrication buyers

Equipment makers abroad outsource formed and welded parts to India. Start with the export buyers you already supply and the countries they sit in.

  2. Shipping fabricated parts

Large or fragile assemblies need packaging and freight agreed in the quotation. State how you pack and who pays for freight.

FAQ

Questions about selling aerospace fabrication.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How is aerospace fabrication different on a website?
It leads with weld procedure, forming method and inspection rather than a list of products. A quality engineer reads those first, and a general fabrication page gives them nothing to check.
We have no photographs of our floor. Is that a problem?
Yes, a small one that is easy to fix. A tidy floor photographed honestly does more for a buyer planning a visit than any paragraph of claims.
Can we bid on sub-assemblies if we only do the welding?
You can say that you weld and form, and that you coordinate machining and finishing through named partners. Be exact about what you do in house.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
