Automation equipment manufacturers · Manufacturing

Be the part number a panel builder types in when the BOM is closing.

A panel builder in Coimbatore is closing a bill of materials for a packaging line. The line needs a servo drive, two proximity sensor types and an HMI, and the customer's purchase team wants the quote by evening. The panel builder searches the part type, opens the datasheets, checks stock with the local distributor and picks what can be delivered in time.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Automation engineers inspect a guarded robotic production cell

In one paragraph

An automation equipment manufacturer makes the products that control and move machines, such as drives, controllers, sensors, HMIs and actuators. Marketing puts your part numbers in front of the panel builders, OEMs and integrators who specify them. Sales means distributors who stock you. GullySales prepares product pages, distributor follow-up and the enquiry record that shows whether a distributor, panel builder or OEM brought an order.

Products are specified this way in this trade. A datasheet that is hard to find, a distributor with no stock and a technical question with no named person to answer it all push the buyer back to the brand already on the last machine.

How buyers decide

How automation equipment manufacturers are chosen.

The buyers are panel builders, machine OEMs and integrators, plus plant maintenance teams replacing a failed part. They choose by specification, compatibility with what is already on the machine, price, stock at a nearby distributor and whether an application engineer will take their call. Brand familiarity counts for a lot, because a wrong choice means a stopped line and a blamed engineer.

Distributors and system integrators shape the choice. A distributor who stocks your range and knows it well has a reason to recommend it, while one who has never been trained has a reason to push the brand already on the shelf. For a new maker, the work is getting into the engineer’s habit: datasheets that answer the question, sample or demo units, and a technical contact.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for automation equipment manufacturers.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Our datasheets live in a folder, not on the web”

A panel builder searching a part number or a type of sensor finds a distributor's listing, a marketplace entry or a competitor's page before our product.

  • “Distributors stock whatever sells without a push”

Our range sits at the back of the shelf because the counter staff cannot explain what makes it different from the brand they already know.

  • “We cannot tell which engineers use our parts”

Orders come through distributors, so we do not see the panel builder or the OEM who actually specified us.

  • “Technical questions go unanswered”

An engineer emails about a wiring or compatibility doubt, and the message sits in a general inbox with no owner. The BOM is closed with another brand.

  • “We are compared only on price”

Buyers see a similar-looking drive at a lower number. Our page does not show the support, the testing or the range that sit behind ours.

  • “OEM customers are won once and then neglected”

A machine builder designed our part in, and nobody on our side has spoken to that builder since the first order.

What we do

What we do for automation equipment manufacturers.

Everything included for automation equipment manufacturers.

  1. Product pages built around the part number

One page per product family with the datasheet, ratings, compatible items, wiring notes and the applications it has been used in, written for an engineer searching a specification.

  2. A distributor onboarding pack

A short training deck, a comparison sheet against the common alternatives (using only facts you confirm), demo kit instructions and a counter-staff cheat sheet.

  3. An application note library

Short notes on solving a real task with your products, such as tension control on a winder or conveyor speed control, supplied by your application engineers.

  4. A technical enquiry desk routine

A shared inbox, a WhatsApp number, a record of each question and the person who owns it, with a clear rule on who answers what.

  5. An OEM account list

A list of machine builders who use your products, the machine model each put you in, and a note of their next design.

How the result is measured

  • Datasheet downloads and technical enquiries by product family
  • Sample requests and conversions to orders
  • Distributors active against distributors signed
  • Orders traced to a panel builder or OEM
  • Technical questions answered against questions received
  • OEMs reordering after the first design-in

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth a page and a campaign of their own

Servo and frequency drives · PLCs and HMIs · Sensors and encoders · Power supplies and relays · Motion control and actuators · Distributor stocking and training · Application engineering support · OEM design-in and repeat supply · Warranty, repair and replacement handling

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what automation equipment manufacturers most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Specification search campaign

Search ads and pages for the product types and applications engineers type, linked to a datasheet download and a technical contact.

  • Distributor activation drive

Visits or calls to distributors in the main panel-building towns, with a demo kit, a stocking suggestion and a way to log what they sell.

  • Panel builder and OEM sampling

A sample or demo unit offered to named panel builders and OEMs, with a technical call arranged after it arrives.

  • Exhibition and training day follow-through

Before and after an automation show or a distributor training day, invitations to named buyers and a call sequence for those who stopped at your stand.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of automation equipment manufacturers, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • Panel builders

Panel-building towns such as Coimbatore, Pune and Ahmedabad each cluster around the local industries they serve. The list is built town by town, with an introduction and a sample offer for each.

  • Machine builders and OEMs

Packaging, textile, plastics and food processing machine builders whose next model could carry your drive or sensor. Design-in outreach goes to the engineer who owns the bill of materials.

  • System integrators

An integrator who specifies components for a whole plant needs a pack to hand: datasheets, application notes and a technical contact by name.

  • Electrical and automation distributors

Electrical counters that stock a rival drive and not yours. The pitch to them is a stocking suggestion with training for the counter staff.

  • Plant maintenance teams

A failed drive or sensor is replaced from what is on hand or can be found fast. We prepare part-number pages and a stocking note aimed at the maintenance manager's list.

Who it is for

This is written for these automation equipment manufacturers.

  • Servo and variable frequency drive makers
  • PLC, HMI and controller makers
  • Sensor, encoder and proximity switch makers
  • Relay, contactor and control panel component makers
  • Motion control component makers, including linear guides and actuators
  • Power supply, signal conditioner and instrumentation makers
  • Industrial networking, gateway and IoT device makers
  • Machine vision and barcode reader makers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for automation equipment manufacturers

  1. 1

    Find who actually decides

We trace some recent orders back from distributor to panel builder to OEM, and learn who specified your product and why.

  2. 2

    Make the range findable

Product pages, datasheets and application notes written from your engineering data.

  3. 3

    Equip the distributors

Training material, demo kits and a log of what each distributor sells and asks.

  4. 4

    Reach panel builders and OEMs

Search pages, sampling and outreach to the buyers who specify.

  5. 5

Track the route to the order

Every enquiry is followed to the distributor, the panel builder or the OEM, so you can see which channel brings orders.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

FAQ

Questions automation equipment manufacturers ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We sell through distributors. Why do we need our own marketing?
Because engineers search before they call a distributor, and a distributor recommends what the counter staff understand. Product pages cover the first and training material covers the second.
How is this different from marketing for automation integrators?
Integrators sell finished systems to plants. You sell components and equipment to people who build those systems, so the buyer, the search and the channel are different. We write for the part number and the BOM, not for the plant head.
Can you write comparison pages against other brands?
Only with facts your team confirms, kept polite and specific. We do not make claims about a competitor's quality.
Do you handle technical content?
We write it from your engineers' material and have them check every page. Anything that carries a rating or a certification is confirmed by your team before it goes live.
A panel builder asks for a sample before ordering. Should we send one?
Send a sample to a named buyer with a real design in progress, and agree beforehand who calls after it arrives and what feedback you want. A unit sent to a general enquiry is cost with no follow-up. Record each sample against the buyer so you can see which ones became specifications.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and we tell you which applies to you after we have spoken. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
