Metal casting foundries · Buyer persona

Three people sign off a casting, and each reads your foundry for a different reason.

A buyer persona for a metal casting foundry describes the people at a pump, valve, tractor or machine maker who decide whether a drawing goes to you. GullySales maps the purchase executive, the quality engineer and the owner or plant head so each hears what concerns them.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For metal casting foundries

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The purchase executive watches the rate and the schedule”

This person holds the drawing, the rate list and the delivery plan. They compare price per kilogram, pattern cost and lead into the next batch, and they dislike surprises. A quote that explains the rate build earns attention over a quote that is only lower.

  • “The quality engineer reads the failure”

After a porosity or dimension rejection, this person checks chemistry, mechanical results and process records. They look for a foundry whose reports are complete and whose answer to a complaint states a cause. Their veto outweighs a good price.

  • “The design engineer sets the alloy”

When a drawing changes, the design side may specify grade, section and machining allowance. A foundry that discusses feeding, draft and tolerance early becomes part of the design conversation, and a pattern is then made for a casting that can be poured.

  • “The plant head or owner worries about dependence”

Where one foundry supplies a critical casting, the senior person fears a stoppage. A second-source trial lot, started before a crisis, is easier to approve than an emergency switch, and this person is the one who approves it.

What we do

What we deliver for metal casting foundries.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Written personas for four roles

Short profiles of the purchase executive, quality engineer, design engineer and plant head, with what each asks and fears.

Result: Your sales team can say which role they are writing to.

  2. A question list for each role

Questions each role asks at enquiry, trial and batch stage, with the answer and the document that supports it.

Result: Each call has the answers ready.

  3. Message versions per role

Capability notes rewritten for each role, such as testing detail for quality and trial-lot terms for the plant head.

Result: A single plant receives different notes for different people.

  4. Mapping of target plants to personas

Named plants with the roles identified from public information and your own contacts.

Result: Each plant on the list has a named person or a role to find.

  5. Objection notes

A page of the doubts each role raises and how your team answers them in plain words.

Result: Replies are consistent across your sales people.

  6. Persona review after first replies

The profiles are checked against actual replies and corrected.

Result: Profiles reflect conversations you have had.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need personas if we know our customers?
You know your current customers. Personas help you speak to people at plants you do not yet supply, and to the other roles at plants you do, who have never spoken to you.
How do we find the quality engineer at a target plant?
Start with public professional profiles, supplier pages and your own contacts. Name the role in the first message even when the person is unknown, and ask to be pointed to the right desk.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
