Laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers · Review generation

The reference that wins your next tender is printed on college letterhead.

For a laboratory supplier the review that counts is a satisfactory performance certificate from an institution, because the next tender asks for one. Public ratings matter separately, on the consumables side. GullySales sets up the ask for both, and writes the reply when a service complaint goes online.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What review generation means

Review generation is the routine of asking satisfied customers to leave a Google or platform review at the moment they are happiest, rather than hoping they remember later. GullySales builds the request into your existing follow-up steps and tracks how many turn into a review.

For laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Ask for the certificate at handover, not two years later”

A performance certificate is easy to get on the day the instrument is commissioned and the department is pleased. Ask in the third year and the professor has been transferred, the file has moved and nobody remembers the installation.

  • “The service engineer should collect it, not the salesman”

The engineer is standing in the lab on the day the instrument is working. That is the moment to hand over the calibration certificate and ask for the short letter confirming satisfactory supply and installation.

  • “Public reviews decide the consumables enquiries, not the committee purchases”

A quality chemist looking for a media or glassware supplier reads the Maps rating and the marketplace feedback before ringing. A purchase committee never will. Ask for public reviews from the buyers who actually search that way.

What we do

What we deliver for laboratory and scientific equipment suppliers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A performance certificate ask built into handover

A short draft letter given to the institution at commissioning, and a step in the engineer's handover checklist to collect the signed copy.

Result: Your tender file fills with references while the work is fresh.

  2. A certificate library indexed for bidding

Signed certificates and past supply orders stored by product group, institution type and value, ready for the qualification criteria of the next bid.

Result: The paperwork for a bid is assembled rather than reconstructed.

  3. Public review requests for consumable buyers

A request sent to private testing labs, diagnostic chains and factory quality teams who found you by search, pointing to the profile they used.

Result: New consumable enquiries land on a page with recent feedback.

  4. A reply routine for a service complaint posted publicly

A written approach to answering a complaint about a breakdown: what happened, what has changed in how service calls are logged, and an invitation to speak.

Result: The next quality head reads a supplier who fixed something.

  5. Consent checked before any name is published

Written permission asked for before an institution's name, logo or letter is used in your material, since public bodies often have their own rules about endorsements and those rules differ and change.

Result: You use references without creating a problem for the customer.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking for certificates and reviews

A lab supply sale has three moments to ask, and each one has a different person to ask.

Commissioning day
Hand over the installation report and ask the head of department for a short satisfactory-performance letter on the institution's letterhead before your engineer leaves the lab.
After user training
Once the lab technician has run the instrument unaided, ask for a line on the demonstration and training. Put the model name in the request so the letter can be matched to a future specification.
A consumable reorder call
When a quality chemist confirms the media or glassware arrived intact, ask on that call for a Maps review and send the link on WhatsApp while you are still talking.
A calibration visit
After a calibration, ask the person who signs the certificate whether the instrument is still in daily use, and note their name and designation for the reference list.
A complaint still open
Do not ask a department with an unpaid invoice or an unresolved service complaint. Settle it first, and never draft the certificate for them to sign.

  • Authorised importers of foreign scientific instruments
  • Scientific glassware and plasticware suppliers
  • Chemical, reagent and culture media suppliers
  • Consumables and disposables suppliers on monthly reorder

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the review generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the customer journey

We identify one fixed point in your service, such as handover or checkout, where every customer is asked in the same way.

  2. 2

    Read your current reviews

We read every review you have, count how many were answered, and note what customers praise in their own words.

  3. 3

    Set up the ask process

Templates and a simple sending process are built into your existing customer communication.

  4. 4

    Implement responses

Every incoming review, positive or negative, is responded to by the routine set down in writing after we have spoken to you.

  5. 5

    Measure and adjust

We track review volume and rating trend and adjust the ask timing if response rates are low.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can we name a government college as a customer on our website?
Ask in writing first. Institutions differ on whether their name or logo may be used in a supplier's publicity, and the position is not the same everywhere or fixed over time. A supply order number listed in a tender file is a separate matter from an advertisement.
Are online reviews worth chasing when most of our sales are tenders?
For the tender side, barely. For consumables, chemicals and small instruments they matter a great deal, because a private lab shortlists by search. Split the effort the same way your business is split.
Should a performance certificate be on letterhead, or is an email enough?
A signed and stamped letter on the institution's letterhead is what most tender files accept, so ask for that. An email can sit beside it as support. Read the tender's own wording on what it accepts, and ask the department's office which format they prefer.
The professor who signed our certificate has moved. Is it still usable?
The letter remains a record of that supply, but a buyer may ring the institution to confirm it. Note who signed and in which role, and add the lab technician or store officer who is still there as a second contact for the same installation.
A tender's specification matches a competitor's model exactly. Can anything be done?
Raise a pre-bid query inside the window, with the technical reason the clause should be made generic. That works sometimes. The real answer sits months earlier, when the professor or lab in-charge is drafting the specification, and that is when your instrument has to be on the table.
Do we have to be on GeM?
For government colleges, hospitals and departments, yes, and the OEM authorisation has to be in order before you bid rather than after. Private testing labs and most diagnostic chains still buy on three quotations. Both routes need watching, because they run on different calendars.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
