PPE and safety equipment manufacturers · Sales process

Move a plant from a first enquiry to a trial, a vendor approval and a purchase order.

A sales process for a PPE manufacturer is the order of steps from the first enquiry through the sample, the trial and the vendor approval to the purchase order and the reorder. GullySales writes each step, names who owns it and records where buyers stop.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales process means

A sales process is the fixed sequence of steps, such as enquiry, site visit, quote and order, that every deal is expected to pass through in the same order. GullySales writes this sequence down for your business and checks that every salesperson actually follows it.

For PPE and safety equipment manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A quote goes out before anyone knows the use”

The price is sent for a safety shoe without knowing the plant floor, so the buyer receives a figure for the wrong product.

  • “Vendor approval is a step nobody planned”

A plant asks for a company profile, certificates, a GST copy and a bank letter after the trial, and the order waits on papers that were not ready.

  • “The order is won and then forgotten”

After the first purchase order, nobody calls about delivery, fit or the reorder, and the plant drifts back to its old supplier.

What we do

What we deliver for PPE and safety equipment manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A written sequence of steps

Enquiry, qualify, sample, trial, quote, vendor approval, order and reorder, each with an owner and a record.

Result: Every person in the office knows what comes next.

  2. A qualifying checklist

Plant, hazard, product, quantity per order, who approves and what is used now.

Result: The quote fits the use.

  3. A sample and trial kit

A defined set of pieces, a trial form for the plant to complete and a date to call.

Result: A trial returns a result.

  4. A vendor approval folder

Company profile, certificates, GST registration, bank details, past supply list and test reports, ready to send.

Result: Approval does not wait for papers.

  5. A quote and terms sheet

Price, packing, minimum order, GST, delivery, payment terms and validity on one sheet.

Result: Terms are the same for each buyer.

  6. A delivery and reorder call

A call after the first delivery to check fit and use, and a date for the next order.

Result: The first order leads to the second.

How the result is measured

  • Deals following the process
  • Time spent at each step
  • Drop-off rate by step

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Steps of a sale

The steps from the first enquiry to a purchase order and a reorder for a PPE manufacturer, and what to ask and record at each.

Enquiry
Record the company, the person, the product and how they found you. Reply with the specification page and one question about where the product will be used. A reply with a price alone invites a price war.
Qualify
Ask the plant, the hazard, the quantity per order, the present supplier and who approves. Decline what you do not make. A buyer with no approver and no quantity is not ready for samples.
Sample and trial
Send a defined set, with a trial form for the plant. Note who at the plant will test it and the date to call. Ask what result would make him order, and record it.
Quote
Send a written quote with price, packing, minimum order, GST, delivery and validity. State what is included. Call to walk through it, because purchase managers compare many sheets.
Vendor approval
Send the folder: profile, certificates, test reports and statutory papers. Ask the plant's list of requirements early. Track each paper requested, and who at the plant is waiting for what.
Order and reorder
Confirm the order in writing, check delivery against the date, and call after the first use. Record the reorder date. Ask the plant which other products it buys from someone else.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales process work runs

  1. 1

    Study current deal flow

We trace how deals actually move today, comparing across reps and outcomes.

  2. 2

    Define the stages

Clear stages and criteria are designed to match how deals genuinely progress and close.

  3. 3

    Configure the CRM

The process is built into your CRM so it is enforced structurally, not just documented.

  4. 4

    Train the team

Reps are trained on the new process and why each stage exists.

  5. 5

    Review adoption

We check after rollout whether the process is being followed and adjust where it is not.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should do each step?
The salesman takes the enquiry and the trial follow-up. The quality head or a technical person answers specification questions. The owner or sales head handles pricing and vendor approval for large plants. Write the owner of each step.
When should I quote?
After you know the use, the quantity and the approver. A price sent before that is compared with a rival's different product. Send a range with a note on what moves it, if the buyer insists on a figure.
How do I deal with a buyer who only compares price?
Show what the price includes: the standard, the test report, the packing, the delivery. If he wants a different product at a lower price, say so. If the choice is still price alone, let the order go, and record why.
What should I write down after each call?
The date, the person, what was agreed, what the plant will do and what you will do next, with the date. Write it the same day. Notes made a week later hold only what was memorable.
Can you help us show certificates and standards on the website?
We set out the pages, and you supply the certificates you hold and the wording the testing body gives. We show only what you hold and do not state more than the certificate says. Rules and standards change, so check with your testing body.
Do you make safety claims about our products?
No. We describe the product, its materials and the standard as marked on your certificate. We do not claim that it prevents injury, and we avoid any wording a buyer's audit could challenge.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
