Steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers · CRM

Hold every dealer's district, sizes, rates and credit in one place the sales team shares.

A CRM for a steel mill is a shared record of every dealer, builder and project, with the rates quoted, the credit given and the dispatches made. GullySales sets up the fields that matter for a mill and the routine to keep them filled.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

For steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Credit is remembered by one person”

The sales manager knows who pays late. When he is away or leaves, the next person extends credit to the same dealer without knowing.

  • “Rates quoted are not kept”

A dealer says another mill quoted less yesterday. Without a record of what you quoted, you cannot answer, and you cannot learn who is price-sensitive.

  • “Quality complaints are handled by phone and forgotten”

A dealer reports a short weight on a bundle or a rusted lot. It is settled by a call and not recorded, so a repeat cause is never seen.

What we do

What we deliver for steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A dealer and builder record

Name, district, godown, sizes bought, brands stocked, contact people and the sales person who looks after him.

Result: A new sales person can pick up an account in a day.

  2. A rate and quotation log

Every rate quoted with the date, size, quantity and delivery town, and the dealer's answer.

Result: You can see what you quoted and what happened.

  3. A credit and payment record

Credit limit, days of credit, payment history and outstanding amount for each dealer, visible to the sales team before a quote.

Result: Credit is decided on the record, not on the call.

  4. A complaint register

Each complaint with the lot, the heat number, the lorry and the settlement, entered by whoever took the call.

Result: A repeat fault is seen early.

  5. A reorder reminder list

A list of dealers who have not ordered in the period you set, sorted by the size of their past orders.

Result: A quiet dealer is called before he is lost.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to record, and when

What a mill writes down about each dealer and builder, and why it earns its place in the record.

Dealer, district and godown
Note the firm name, the district, the godown location and the people who order and pay. Two dealers in one town can be two firms of one family.
Sizes and grades bought, and brands also stocked
Write what he buys from you and what he buys from rivals. The gap shows what to offer him. Update it after each visit or call.
Rate quoted, date and answer
Enter each rate with the size, quantity and delivery town, and what he said. When a dealer claims a lower rate elsewhere, you can compare with your own record.
Credit limit, days and payment record
Keep the agreed limit, the days of credit, and the date and amount of each payment. Look before quoting, and mark a dealer who pays late.
Dispatches and complaints against each lot
Link each dispatch with the lot or heat number, and record any complaint against it. A complaint on one lot, found early, is cheaper to settle than three.
Do you need software yet?
One sheet per sales person works for a small number of dealers. Look for software when two people edit the same dealer, or a credit check is skipped.

  • Mills selling through a dealer and distributor network

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the crm work runs

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We record how a deal actually moves from enquiry to close in your business today.

  2. 2

    Configure stages and fields

The CRM's pipeline and fields are built to match that process exactly, not a generic template.

  3. 3

    Set up automations

Reminders, assignment rules and follow-up triggers are configured so routine steps happen without manual effort.

  4. 4

    Test with real deals

We run the configuration against actual current deals to catch gaps before the whole team relies on it.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a spreadsheet enough for a mill?
For a limited number of dealers and one or two sales people, yes. The sheet needs a column for credit and one for the last rate quoted. Move to a CRM when several people edit it and reminders are missed.
How do we get the sales team to use it?
Start with what helps them: the credit position and the last rate quoted before a call. Keep the form short, and review the record in your sales meeting so entries matter.
What do we do with WhatsApp chats with dealers?
Copy the rate message and the dealer's reply into the entry, not the whole chat. The record needs the rate, the quantity and the outcome. Keep full chats only for a dispute.
Who owns the dealer data?
The mill does, if it sits on an account the company controls. Use company logins, not personal ones, and take the record, not the phone, when a sales person leaves.
Can we publish our rate on the website?
No. A steel rate changes with the market and a printed one is wrong by the afternoon. Publish the grades, sizes and a way to ask for today's rate, and answer on WhatsApp from a named person.
Does a mill need a brand if it sells only through dealers?
Yes. A brand builders ask for makes the dealer's job easier and lets you hold your rate. A mill known only by the lorry it sends competes on rate each day.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
