Steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers · Lead generation

Count every rate request as a lead and find out which ones turned into a lorry.

Lead generation for a TMT bar mill means collecting the rate requests, dealership enquiries and project enquiries that reach your sales team, and recording where each came from. GullySales sets up the sources, a reply for each and a record that tells you which one produced dispatches.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A rate request is not recorded as a lead”

Dealers ask for the rate on WhatsApp ten times a day, and the answers are lost in chats. Nobody can say which dealers asked or which asked and did not book.

  • “Dealership enquiries are lost between sales people”

A stockist who wants your brand speaks to whoever picks up. His district, godown and brands stocked are never written down, and nobody calls back.

  • “Project enquiries start long before the order”

A builder planning a tower asks about grades months before a purchase. Without a record, the sales person who spoke to him forgets by the time he buys.

What we do

What we deliver for steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A source list from your own dispatches

Recent dispatches traced to their first call: a dealer's rate request, a portal enquiry, a project visit, a referral or an exhibition.

Result: You see where orders really begin.

  2. A rate request form on WhatsApp

A fixed message asking size, quantity, delivery town and credit need, so a request arrives with what you need to quote.

Result: A quote can be given without a second question.

  3. A dealership enquiry sheet

A form and a sheet for stockists asking about your brand, with the district, godown, brands stocked and who spoke to him.

Result: A dealer enquiry gets a named follow-up.

  4. A portal enquiry rule

A written rule on who replies to IndiaMART and similar portal enquiries, what is said first and how each is entered.

Result: Portal enquiries get an answer and a record.

  5. A project watch list

A list of builders and contractors planning work in your supply area, with the stage of their project and the next call date.

Result: A purchase is called on before it is placed elsewhere.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

Where an order for TMT bars first reaches the mill, and what to write down and say for each.

A dealer's WhatsApp request for today's rate
Reply with the rate for the size asked and ask for quantity and delivery town. Save his number against the dealer's entry. Note whether he booked.
A stockist asking about a dealership
Ask his district, godown, brands stocked and whether he has stocked this grade before. Record the answers, and name who will call him back.
A purchase head's enquiry for a project
Ask the project, the grade, the quantity and the delivery schedule over the months ahead. Enter the project and set a date to call before the next purchase.
An IndiaMART or portal enquiry
Reply with the grades you roll and a question about quantity and town, not a bare rate. Mark it as a portal enquiry so the orders from the portal are counted.
A structural engineer's request for certificates
Send the licence and a sample test certificate, and ask which project it is for. An engineer who specifies your grade is a source of repeat work.
A lead from an exhibition or association meeting
Enter the card the same day with the event name. Send a message that evening, and ask what he buys now. Do not leave the card in a bag.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the lead generation work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we buy a list of dealers or builders?
Be careful. Many lists are out of date and include dealers who stock no steel. Ask for a sample and call ten numbers before paying. Your own dispatch records and your field team's visiting cards are the better list.
How do we deal with the same dealer asking through two channels?
Record both against one dealer entry. Use the phone number as the key, and keep the first source and the latest. A dealer who calls and also sends a form is serious.
What counts as a qualified enquiry?
A named buyer, a size and a quantity, a delivery town in your range and a way to pay that you can accept. A request that gives none of these is an enquiry to nurture, not to quote.
How do we record leads from site visits and exhibitions?
Collect the name, the company, the project and the district on the spot, in one form, and enter it the same day. A visiting card in a pocket is the commonest lost lead in this trade.
Can we publish our rate on the website?
No. A steel rate changes with the market and a printed one is wrong by the afternoon. Publish the grades, sizes and a way to ask for today's rate, and answer on WhatsApp from a named person.
Does a mill need a brand if it sells only through dealers?
Yes. A brand builders ask for makes the dealer's job easier and lets you hold your rate. A mill known only by the lorry it sends competes on rate each day.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
