Steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers · Email marketing

Write to the dealers and purchase heads who asked to hear from you, and nobody else.

Email marketing for a TMT bar mill is sending the people who have dealt with you, or asked to, the notes they need, such as dealership terms, new grades and certificate updates. GullySales sets up the list, the sender identity and the segments, and tracks the replies you receive.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Rate lists go to everyone on the contact sheet”

A mill sends today's rate to hundreds of addresses, many collected from old visiting cards. Those who never agreed mark it as spam, and the sender is hurt.

  • “A dealer's inbox is the least-read place”

Dealers use WhatsApp and phone. Email suits purchase heads, consultants and project teams more than the district stockist.

  • “No reply goes to a person”

Mail sent from a no-reply address gets replies that nobody reads. A purchase head's question about a certificate goes unanswered.

What we do

What we deliver for steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list built from consent

Dealers, purchase heads and engineers who agreed to receive mail, with how and when recorded beside each name.

Result: You can show why each person receives your mail.

  2. Segments by role and district

Separate lists for dealers, builders' purchase teams and engineers, each with its own kind of message.

Result: A dealer does not receive a note meant for an engineer.

  3. A sender set-up with the company domain

Mail sent from an address on the company's own domain, with the technical records set so it reaches inboxes.

Result: The mail looks like it comes from the mill.

  4. A set of useful notes

Notes on new grades, certificates, dealership districts open and plant updates, each with one action and a person to reply.

Result: The mail has a purpose beyond a rate.

  5. A reply path to a named person

Replies go to a monitored mailbox and are entered in the enquiry record by whoever picks them up.

Result: A question from a purchase head is answered.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a steel mill needs before the first email goes to a dealer or a purchase head.

Consent and the source of each address
Record how each address was given: a form, a visit, a signed dealer application. Do not add addresses taken from a visiting card pile to a mailing list.
A sender identity on your own domain
Send from a mill address, not a free one, with the company name and a person's name in the sender line. Ask your IT person to set up the records that prove it is you.
A visible way to unsubscribe
Put the link in every message and honour it at once. Data protection law in India applies to personal data and is still being applied, so check the current position with your adviser.
Segments for dealers, builders and engineers
Keep lists apart by role and by district. A dealership note to a purchase head in another state is noise and costs you his attention.
A reply path that reaches a person
Choose the person who reads replies and what he does with a certificate request or a rate query. Write down who answers when he is on leave.

Who it is for

This is written for these steel rolling mills and TMT bar makers.

  • TMT bar mills on the integrated or induction furnace route
  • Re-rolling mills working from billets
  • Mills selling through a dealer and distributor network
  • Mills selling directly to builders and infrastructure contractors
  • Mills making angles, channels and flats
  • Wire rod and binding wire makers
  • Regional brands sold within one or two states
  • Mills supplying precast yards and project sites

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we buy an email list of builders?
Do not. People on a bought list have not agreed to hear from you, and Indian data protection law, which changes, asks for consent. Mail to them also reaches spam folders and damages your sender name.
Is a newsletter better than one-to-one email?
A newsletter suits engineers and purchase heads who want updates. For a dealer or a project with a live enquiry, a personal email or a WhatsApp message works better. Use both, to different people.
Why does our mail go to spam?
Common causes are sending from a free email address, a list nobody agreed to, and no way to unsubscribe. Fix the sender set-up first, and send only to people who asked.
How do we count results?
Count replies and enquiries, not opens. Note each reply and whether it became a rate request or an order. Opens are unreliable and say little about a purchase head's interest.
Can we publish our rate on the website?
No. A steel rate changes with the market and a printed one is wrong by the afternoon. Publish the grades, sizes and a way to ask for today's rate, and answer on WhatsApp from a named person.
Does a mill need a brand if it sells only through dealers?
Yes. A brand builders ask for makes the dealer's job easier and lets you hold your rate. A mill known only by the lorry it sends competes on rate each day.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
