Alumni associations · Digital marketing

Connect the web page, the mail list and the groups so alumni land in one place.

Digital marketing for an alumni association means joining up the website, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and sign-up forms so that a former student who meets one of them reaches the rest. GullySales plans which channel serves which purpose and what the committee watches.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For alumni associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Each channel is run by a different volunteer”

One person keeps the mail list, another the social page, another the WhatsApp groups. Without a shared plan, the same alumnus gets three invitations to one event and none to the next.

  • “A channel without a destination wastes the post”

A LinkedIn post about a reunion that links to a closed form or a broken page loses the reader. Every channel needs a single clear place for the reader to go and a way to see who arrived.

  • “Different alumni live on different channels”

Recent graduates answer Instagram and the class group, senior alumni a letter or a phone call. A plan that uses one channel for everyone leaves a part of the roll unheard.

What we do

What we deliver for alumni associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Channel plan by purpose

A one-page plan saying which channel carries reunions, chapters, mentoring and giving, and who runs each.

Result: The committee sees one plan, not four habits.

  2. Shared sign-up and landing pages

Pages for each purpose that every channel links to, with a form feeding the central sheet.

Result: Every post leads to a place where interest is captured.

  3. Campaign calendar

A schedule that places reunion, chapter and fund drives across channels so messages do not collide.

Result: Alumni are not asked for the same thing three times.

  4. Simple tracking sheet

A record of which channel each sign-up and registration came from, entered from forms and captains.

Result: The committee sees which route brings real contacts.

  5. Volunteer roles and handover

A list of who owns each channel, the logins and the steps for passing them on.

Result: A change of office bearers does not break the channels.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small association start?
With a clean list and one reliable sign-up page, then the channel your alumni already answer. Add others when someone is willing to run them.
Do we need a paid advertising budget?
Not at the start. Reunions and chapters grow through captains and groups. Consider paid posts only for a defined purpose, with a budget the committee has approved.
How do we judge whether it works?
Look at verified contacts, registrations and chapter meets, which your own sheet records. Counting the right things matters more than counting reach.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
