Animation studios · Digital marketing

Put the studio in front of commissioners through the few channels that bring real briefs.

Digital marketing for an animation studio is the set of search, social, email and outreach work that brings briefs to the studio and holds clients afterwards. GullySales chooses the channels that reach your commissioners, links them to proper entry pages and records which one brings the work you want.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For animation studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A studio spreads thin across every platform”

A small team opens accounts on six platforms and feeds none. Two channels done well, aimed at known buyers, bring more than six done badly.

  • “Paid search suits some briefs and not others”

A buyer searching for a product explainer is ready to ask for a quote, so a paid search can pay. A series producer is not found by search at all and is better reached by introduction.

  • “The portfolio is the product”

In animation the sample is the proof. Whichever channel brings the visitor, the landing page must show a piece that matches the brief. A general homepage loses the visitor who came for one thing.

  • “Email is still how agencies and brands decide”

A short note with one sample to a named producer does more than a post. Keep a list of the people who have asked to hear from you and write to them when a relevant piece is finished.

What we do

What we deliver for animation studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Channel plan by buyer

A plan naming the channels for each buyer type: search for explainers, outreach for agencies, introductions for producers.

Result: A one-page plan listing each channel, its buyer and its landing page.

  2. Entry pages for each campaign

Pages built for the campaign's brief, with a matching sample and an enquiry form.

Result: Every campaign sends visitors to a page that opens on a matching sample.

  3. Search advertising for explainer work

Ads and a landing page for the searches that show a ready buyer, with spend limits you set.

Result: An account in which each ad points to one page and each enquiry is tagged to its ad.

  4. Email list and short notes

A list of clients and contacts who agreed to hear from you, and a note format for sharing one new piece.

Result: A list with consent recorded, and a note format you can reuse.

  5. Source and enquiry tracking

A sheet counting enquiries, quotes and signed projects by channel.

Result: A table that shows which channel brings the briefs you want.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Which single channel should a new studio start with?
Start with the one closest to a signed project. For some studios that is search for explainers or direct outreach to agencies. The enquiry log built here shows which one earns the work.
Do we need to spend on advertising?
Not at first. Build the pages and the follow-up system, then test paid search on one brief with a budget you can afford to lose. Keep it only if the enquiries are the right ones.
How do we measure digital marketing for a project business?
Count enquiries, quotes and signed projects by source, not visits or likes. A project-based studio needs a few good briefs, so the useful numbers are small and specific.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
