Marketplace platforms · Digital marketing

Plan search, ads, social and messages as one system that fills a locality.

Digital marketing for a marketplace brings together search, paid ads, social media, email and messaging to reach providers and buyers in the right order. GullySales sets the order by locality, so spend meets supply that is already there.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For marketplace platforms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Channels should follow the stage of the locality”

A new locality needs providers first, so the effort goes to field work, calls and trade groups. A locality with supply needs buyers, so search and local ads take over. Running every channel at once wastes spend on one side while the other is still empty.

  • “Acquisition cost differs for each side”

A buyer from an ad and a provider from a field visit cost different amounts and bring different value. Comparing them under one cost figure misleads. Track each side separately, and compare cost against first transactions rather than sign-ups.

  • “Brand and performance both matter”

A new platform asks strangers to trust it with money and access to their home or shop. Ads for a booking work better where the name is already known from local groups, reviews and word of mouth. Brand effort and direct response effort support each other.

  • “Measurement should reach the booking”

Clicks and installs are early signals. A marketing report that stops there cannot tell you which campaign brought a booking. Connecting ad sources to registration and first booking is the base of every budget decision.

What we do

What we deliver for marketplace platforms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A locality-by-locality channel plan

A plan stating, for each locality, which side is being built and which channels carry the effort.

Result: A plan table showing the side and channels per locality.

  2. Campaign structure for two sides

Separate campaigns, audiences and messages for providers and buyers, with its own budget and measure.

Result: A campaign list with a budget line and a measure for each side.

  3. Tracking from click to booking

Links, codes and events set so each registration and booking can be traced to its source.

Result: A report of bookings by campaign.

  4. A budget rule tied to supply

A rule that releases buyer spend in a locality only when enough providers there are active.

Result: A written threshold agreed before buyer ads start.

  5. A learning log

A record of what was tried in each locality, what happened and what changed, kept for the next launch.

Result: A log the team reads before opening a new locality.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the objective

We agree the one thing this campaign needs to achieve before choosing any channel.

  2. 2

    Audit available channels

We assess which channels are realistic to run well within the budget and timeline.

  3. 3

    Strategise the central idea

One message and offer is developed that will work across every planned channel.

  4. 4

    Implement across channels

Each channel receives its own adapted version, launched on a shared timeline.

  5. 5

    Measure as one campaign

Results from every channel are combined into a single report against the original objective.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Where should a marketplace start?
With one locality and one service. Fill the first side, open the second, and learn before moving. We help set what counts as filled.
How do we compare channels fairly?
By cost per first transaction on each side, not by cost per sign-up. We help you connect the sources to bookings so the comparison uses your own data.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
