Metal ore mining companies · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a purchase team finds when it searches for ore by mineral and grade.

SEO for a metal ore mine means making the mine findable when a plant's raw-material team searches for an ore, a grade or a mining belt. GullySales works on grade pages, the terms purchase teams type and a form that turns a visit into an enquiry that names a tonnage and a destination.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For metal ore mining companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search by mineral, size and grade”

A raw-material head looking for manganese fines or chromite lumps types the mineral, the form and an Fe, Mn or Cr2O3 range into the search box. A page that carries the same words and an assay table matches that search. A page that says only mining solutions does not.

  • “Directories show up before the mine”

Trade directories and trader listings appear ahead of the lessee's own site, so the buyer meets an agent first. A mine page with an assay range, a loading point and a named contact gives the search engine a better result to show.

  • “One page for each ore and grade”

A single products page cannot serve iron ore fines, lumps and pellet feed all at once. Separate pages let each carry its own assay range, size, moisture and access, which are the things a purchase team compares.

  • “Stock pages go stale”

A lot page left up after the stack has sold sends a buyer to ore that is gone, and the next call from that buyer is an awkward one. Dated stock notes and a clear way to retire them keep the site honest.

What we do

What we deliver for metal ore mining companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Search term map

A list of the mineral, grade, size and belt terms that raw-material teams use, matched to the ore you hold.

Result: You can read which phrase each page is meant to answer.

  2. Ore and grade pages

One page per ore and grade, with assay range, size, moisture, loading point and a plain description of how the ore is handled.

Result: Each page can stand alone as a document a plant could print.

  3. Mine profile page

A page on the lease, the ore body in plain terms, the stockyard and the arrangements for loading and weighing.

Result: A new buyer finds the lease and loading facts in one place.

  4. Enquiry form

A short form that asks for plant name, quantity, grade and destination before it sends.

Result: Each form reply tells you whether it came from a plant or an agent.

  5. Directory clean-up list

A list of the directory entries that carry your mine's name, with the details to correct on each.

Result: Your name, lease location and contact read the same wherever a buyer finds them.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can a mine under auction rules publish ore pages?
Publishing facts about your mine is separate from how you sell it. Sale rules differ by state, mineral and lease type, so check with your own mining adviser about what may be offered outside an auction.
Will search bring us agents rather than plants?
Some agents will find the pages too. The form questions and the sorting rule at the mine office are there to separate them from plants.
Do the pages need to list prices?
No. The pages carry grade, size, moisture and access. Price is a conversation you hold with a plant that has written in.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
