Magicians and mentalists · Digital marketing

Start with the page, the profile and the reply desk before you buy a single ad.

Digital marketing for a magician or mentalist is the set of places a buyer can find, watch and book you: a page, a map listing, Instagram, WhatsApp and, later, search ads. GullySales sets the order and the records so you can tell what worked.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For magicians and mentalists

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Ads on a weak page waste the spend”

A search ad that lands on an Instagram profile with no rate, no free date and no enquiry form sends the parent away. The page comes before the ad.

  • “Followers are not bookings”

A performer with a large following may have few dates, since the viewers are fans rather than hosts. A smaller audience of planners and parents is worth more.

  • “Seasons set the order of work”

Birthday and wedding months need the profile ready earlier, while schools and companies need a note before their calendars close. The plan follows the year.

  • “Nothing is recorded, so nothing is learned”

If no one asks how the booker found you, the next rupee goes to a guess. A column for the source turns past bookings into a guide.

What we do

What we deliver for magicians and mentalists.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A starting order for the channels

A written list of what to set up first, second and later, with the first job on each.

Result: You know what to do this month and what to leave.

  2. A page and enquiry route

A profile page with clips, shows and a form that feeds your enquiry sheet.

Result: Every channel points to one place to book.

  3. A Business Profile and WhatsApp number

A map listing and a business number with saved replies.

Result: A local search and a reply both lead to you.

  4. A source column in your records

A field on every enquiry for how the booker found you.

Result: You see which channel brought which dates.

  5. A paid-search test plan

A small, bounded test for the searches a parent types, started only after the page and reply desk work.

Result: Spend goes to searches that can lead to a booking.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for this trade

The order in which a magician should set up the channels.

A page with clips and an enquiry form
Build it first. Record the number of forms received and the booker's source, so you can tell which channel sent them.
The Google Business Profile
Set it up as a service-area listing next. Record the calls and messages from the map, and whether each came from a parent, planner or hall.
WhatsApp Business with saved replies
Move enquiries to a business number. Record the time of the first message and the time of your reply, so the delay is visible.
Instagram reels for parents and planners
Post show clips with a city and a booking line. Record which post a booker names, and let that guide the next clips.
Planner and hall introductions
Send the pack to the planners and halls that matter. Record who replied, who sent a client and which date that client booked.
What to leave until later
Paid ads, a blog, newsletters and a YouTube channel. Each needs a page and a reply desk that work first, and a record of what already brings dates.

Who it is for

This is written for these magicians and mentalists.

  • Children's birthday party magicians
  • Stage illusionists for annual days and cultural evenings
  • Close-up and table magicians for weddings and receptions
  • Mentalists for corporate dinners and team events
  • Magicians for school visits and activity weeks
  • Comedy magicians for family shows and housing societies
  • Magic and balloon entertainers for play schools
  • Roaming magicians for malls, launches and exhibitions

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not decided which shows and cities you want to sell, so any channel would advertise an offer you cannot hold
  • You cannot yet record where each enquiry came from, and spend would go in without a way to tell what worked

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I run the marketing myself or hire an agency?
Run the reply desk yourself, because the buyer wants the performer. Hand the page, the profile and the plan to someone with the time. A freelancer or GullySales can do that, as long as you approve the claims.
Which channel should a small act start with?
Start with the Business Profile, the page and the WhatsApp number, because these answer buyers who already search. Add Instagram reels for parents, and paid search when you can reply to every enquiry within the day.
How do I know what worked?
Ask every booker how they found you and write it in the sheet. After a season, count dates by source and by show type. Your own list is better evidence than any platform's dashboard.
Do ads and organic posts work together?
Yes. A parent who sees an ad and then finds the same performer on the map and on Instagram is likelier to message. Keep the name, number and clip consistent on all of them, and record which one the booker names.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
