Magicians and mentalists · WhatsApp marketing

Use WhatsApp for what a booker wants: a clip, a rate and a free date.

WhatsApp marketing for a magician or mentalist means using a business number for the replies, clips and reminders that a booking needs. GullySales sets up the profile, the saved messages and the opt-in record, and you stay in the conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For magicians and mentalists

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The parent already lives on WhatsApp”

A parent planning a party is on family and school groups all day. A reply there, with a clip and a date, arrives where the decision is being made.

  • “A personal number mixes work and family”

A performer using a personal number loses enquiries in the middle of family chats and cannot hand the number to an assistant. A business number keeps work in one place.

  • “A broadcast to every parent backfires”

A message sent to a list that never agreed to hear from you gets blocked and can lose the number. Messages go only to people who asked, in a record you keep.

  • “A catalogue can hold the shows”

A WhatsApp business catalogue lets a parent see each show, its length and the age group without a long chat. It needs clear names and no price you do not stand behind.

What we do

What we deliver for magicians and mentalists.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business profile

Name, description, hours, website link and a catalogue of your shows.

Result: A parent who opens the chat sees a real business.

  2. Saved replies and quick answers

First reply, free-date check, rate message, hall requirements and thank-you, written in your voice.

Result: Common questions are answered in a moment.

  3. An opt-in record

A note of who agreed to hear from you, when and for what, kept with the enquiry sheet.

Result: Messages go only to people who asked.

  4. A clip and rate pack for sending

A short clip, a one-page rate card and a list of what the host provides, ready to attach.

Result: A full answer goes out in one message.

  5. A hand-off rule for a second person

A written line on who replies when you are on stage, and the message that tells the buyer when to expect you.

Result: A buyer is never left with silence during a show.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What to set up before you message a parent or planner in bulk.

An opt-in record you can show
The buyer's name, the date they asked to hear from you and the reason. Kept with the enquiry sheet, and used to decide who receives a festival-season message.
A business profile
A business account with your name, a description of the shows, hours and a link to the enquiry page. A parent should see an entertainer, not a stranger.
Message templates
Written replies for the first message, the rate, the held date and the thank-you. Check WhatsApp's current business policy before sending anything outside a reply window.
Who pays, and for what
Replies inside a conversation are one thing and business-started messages another. Check WhatsApp's current business pricing before planning a campaign.
An opt-out and a human reply path
A line telling people how to stop messages, and a person who answers replies. A buyer who writes back and gets silence loses trust in the act.

Who it is for

This is written for these magicians and mentalists.

  • Children's birthday party magicians
  • Stage illusionists for annual days and cultural evenings
  • Close-up and table magicians for weddings and receptions
  • Mentalists for corporate dinners and team events
  • Magicians for school visits and activity weeks
  • Comedy magicians for family shows and housing societies
  • Magic and balloon entertainers for play schools
  • Roaming magicians for malls, launches and exhibitions

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have no list of people who asked to hear from you, so a message to every contact would break their trust
  • You perform in the evenings and cannot reply during the day, and the first reply would be the one that loses the date

How it works

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Read the chats you already have

We read how customers write to you, which questions repeat and where a chat goes quiet. The repeated questions decide what gets automated first.

  2. 2

Sort the list and the permission

Contacts who asked to hear from you are separated from numbers that only sit in a phone book. We agree the wording new contacts will see before they say yes.

  3. 3

Choose the app or the API

One phone and a small team can stay on the ordinary app. Several people on one number, templates or a CRM link need the API through a provider, which is its own piece of setup work.

  4. 4

Write the replies and the plan

The greeting, away message, saved replies and handover rule are written in your words and approved by you. The message plan and its templates follow.

  5. 5

    Connect the record and test

Each link carries its source line and each chat lands in the CRM. We test on real phones, including a customer who asks for a person.

  6. 6

    Read the unanswered questions

A question the first reply could not answer becomes a new saved reply or a fixed handover. Stop requests are watched too, with the number's quality rating where the API is used, since both show a message plan that has gone too far.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should I use a broadcast list or the Business API?
A broadcast list is fine for a small number of people who saved your number and asked for updates. The API suits larger volumes and templates. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before choosing, because both change.
Can I add parents to a group for the party?
Only with their agreement, and keep it to the host family and the people working on the day. A group of unrelated parents turns into a place for complaints and spam. A one-to-one chat is the safer default.
Is it fine to use my own number?
It works at the start, but the number carries your family chats and cannot be shared. Move to a business number when bookings grow, and tell regular planners the new number once.
Should my shows go in the catalogue?
Yes, each show as an item with a clear name, length and age group. Leave out a price unless you will quote it every time, because a figure in a catalogue becomes the starting point of a bargain.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Your next practical step
