Pet service businesses · Buyer journey

The journey starts with a new puppy and only ends when the dog is old.

The pet parent journey runs across a dog's life: the first vaccination, the first groom at a few months, training, the anxious first boarding and then senior care. Each stage is a separate decision with its own worry. GullySales maps your own stages and fixes the point where enquiries stop.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What buyer journey means

The buyer journey is the sequence of steps a customer actually takes, from first hearing about you to deciding to buy, which is rarely a single visit or call. GullySales maps this sequence for your business and checks that something useful happens at each step instead of only at the final call.

For pet service businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A new puppy owner does not know what to ask for”

She searches for vaccination and feeding advice before she ever searches for a groomer. The business that answered the early question is the one she messages when the coat starts matting at four months.

  • “The first boarding enquiry is a trust decision, not a price one”

Leaving a dog for the first time is the hardest step in the whole journey. A trial day, photographs of the actual run and a named person who will be there at night move a parent past it. A rate card does not.

  • “Each stage has a different worry, so the page must too”

A puppy owner worries about socialisation, a groomer's customer about whether a nervous dog will be handled roughly, and a senior pet's owner about medication during a stay. One services page answers none of them properly.

What we do

What we deliver for pet service businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The stages mapped for your own business

Your services set out against the pet's life, from puppy enquiry and first groom through training and boarding to senior care, with the usual entry point for each.

Result: You can see which stage brings you customers and which you never reach.

  2. Content written for the stage, not for the service

Pages and posts answering the question asked at each point, such as when a puppy can first be groomed or what a first boarding stay involves.

Result: A parent finds you at the stage before she needs to buy.

  3. A trial visit offered at the boarding stage

A short daycare day or a facility walkthrough built into the boarding enquiry reply, with the routine explained in the same message.

Result: The first boarding decision gets easier to say yes to.

  4. Drop-off points found and owned

The evening message that went unanswered, the enquiry that never became a booking, the pet that came once and never returned, each with a named person to act.

Result: The leak has somebody responsible for it.

  5. Next-stage prompts built into the record

A note on each pet of the services never used, so a grooming customer hears about training or boarding at the point it becomes relevant.

Result: One customer's pet uses more of what you offer.

How the result is measured

  • Drop-off rate by step
  • Time from first contact to sale
  • Steps with no content

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for pet service businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your facility photos, review reply rate, booking system and whether a reminder goes out before the next visit is due.

  2. 2

    Fix the response

WhatsApp booking confirmations, reminders and a missed-message routine, so no enquiry sits overnight without a reply.

  3. 3

    Build trust

Real facility photos and short videos, reviews from actual customers, and staff introductions that a nervous parent can see.

  4. 4

    Bring bookings in

Local search and the Google Business Profile, a festival season campaign for boarding, and referrals from vets and pet stores nearby.

  5. 5

    Retain

Grooming cycle reminders, a loyalty routine for repeat boarding customers, and a review ask timed to a good stay or a good groom.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

What are the stages of a pet parent's journey?
In practice they follow the pet: bringing home a puppy, vaccinations and vet visits, the first groom, training, the first boarding stay, a settled routine of regular grooming, and then senior care. Each is a separate decision, made at a different level of worry.
Which stage should a small grooming business target first?
The first groom, usually somewhere around four months, because that parent has not chosen anybody yet. Competing for a dog that already has a regular groomer is far harder than being the first one.
Do we need to advertise?
Not before the Maps profile and the reply routine work. Ads help most for one gap, such as boarding dates still open three weeks before Diwali.
Should our boarding page say we ask for vaccination records?
Yes. A parent reads it as a sign that the other dogs in the run are healthy too. Name the vaccines you check and the kennel cough rule, and the question stops coming up on every call.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
