Printing businesses · Branding

The shop that prints everyone else's brand usually has none of its own.

Branding for a printing business is the name, the sample folder and the board outside that make a buyer choose you over the press two doors down. GullySales fixes what your shop is known for, then builds the identity, the sample kit and the quotation that carry it.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For printing businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Your own printed material is the sample

A buyer judges a press by its visiting card and its quotation, and a card printed on the cheapest stock says more than any claim about quality.

  • Being known for one thing wins the bigger jobs

The press known for monocartons or for foiled invitations gets asked to quote on them, while the shop that does everything is asked only for rates.

  • The sample folder is the brand

What a buyer touches at the counter decides the order, so a torn plastic file of yellowed samples costs more work than it saves.

What we do

What we deliver for printing businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A decision on what the press is known for

One page fixing the job types you want more of, the buyers who pay for them, and what you stop chasing.

Result: Everyone in the shop is selling the same thing.

  2. A name, mark and stationery of your own

A logo that reproduces on a small label and a large board, and your own cards, letterhead and job bags printed properly.

Result: Your own material shows the quality you sell.

  3. A sample kit buyers can keep

A boxed or bound set of your best work by job type, with paper and finish named on each piece, made to be left behind.

Result: The buyer keeps your work on their desk.

  4. A quotation format that looks like the shop

Quotations laid out with specifications, terms and your identity, sent as a proper document rather than a message.

Result: Your price arrives looking like a supplier, not a guess.

  5. Shop front and counter guidance

Board, window display and counter arrangement set so a walk-in sees a press that handles the jobs you want.

Result: The shop sells the work before anyone speaks.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for printing businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your local search visibility, how fast a quote reaches a customer, how your samples are presented, and whether reorders from regular customers are tracked.

  2. 2

Build a sample portfolio and reply routine

Photographs of real completed jobs organised by type, and a same-day quote turnaround for common enquiries.

  3. 3

    Speed up quoting

Templates and pricing references for common job types so a quote does not depend on locating an old sample or file.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, referrals, and direct outreach to offices, event planners and businesses that print regularly.

  5. 5

    Keep repeat accounts

Reorder reminders and a dedicated point of contact for regular business customers, so they never need to go looking elsewhere.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is branding worth spending on for a press?
Yes, and it costs you less than most trades, because you print the material yourself. What you pay for is the design and the decision about what you want to be known for.
Should we change our name after twenty years?
Rarely. An old name that buyers already call is an asset. Put the effort into the mark, the sample kit and the quotation, and leave the name where it is.
Do we need to advertise?
Not for urgent jobs, which are won on a fast quote and visible samples. Ads help for a specific push, such as wedding invitations from October or a new packaging line.
Should we check the label text a food brand sends us?
Yes, before the plates are made. Point out a missing FSSAI licence number, net quantity or MRP, even though the brand is responsible for them. A reprint costs both of you, and the brand remembers the printer who caught it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
