Printing businesses · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the job the buyer needs, from visiting cards to corrugated boxes.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) for a print shop decides whether a buyer searching for a specific job, such as corrugated box printing or wedding invitations, finds you. GullySales writes a page for each job type you can quote quickly, and fixes the site that currently lists everything on one page.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For printing businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The search names the job, the quantity and often the material

Buyers type things like 300 gsm visiting cards or monocarton printing, and a page headed printing services matches none of it.

  • Nobody searches for an offset press

The machine you own is not what the buyer knows. The words are the product they need, so the pages belong to cards, boxes, banners and invitations.

  • A specification page beats a photo gallery

A buyer comparing printers wants paper weight, finish options, minimum quantity and turnaround, and the page that states them is the one that gets the call.

What we do

What we deliver for printing businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each job type you quote

Separate pages for visiting cards, brochures, monocartons, labels, banners and invitations, each written for the buyer of that job.

Result: Every job type can be found on its own.

  2. Specifications written on every page

Paper stock, GSM, finish options, minimum quantity and normal turnaround stated in plain words on each job page.

Result: A buyer self-qualifies before calling you.

  3. Artwork requirements published once

A page stating bleed, resolution, colour mode and the file formats you accept, linked from every job page.

Result: Files arrive printable and the job starts sooner.

  4. Technical repairs to a slow site

Page speed, broken links and missing headings fixed, since print shop sites are usually heavy with uncompressed sample images.

Result: Good pages stop being held back by the site.

  5. Structured data for the shop and its services

Markup describing the press, its services, address and hours so search engines read the shop correctly, not only the visible text.

Result: Search engines understand what the shop actually does.

  6. A monthly report by job type page

Search position and enquiries for each job page compared with the figures noted before the work began.

Result: You can see which job type search is bringing in.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for printing businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your local search visibility, how fast a quote reaches a customer, how your samples are presented, and whether reorders from regular customers are tracked.

  2. 2

Build a sample portfolio and reply routine

Photographs of real completed jobs organised by type, and a same-day quote turnaround for common enquiries.

  3. 3

    Speed up quoting

Templates and pricing references for common job types so a quote does not depend on locating an old sample or file.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, referrals, and direct outreach to offices, event planners and businesses that print regularly.

  5. 5

    Keep repeat accounts

Reorder reminders and a dedicated point of contact for regular business customers, so they never need to go looking elsewhere.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

When would a print buyer start finding us in search?
Three to six months for competitive job types like visiting cards, and sooner for specific ones like monocartons or rigid boxes, where few printers have written a proper page. The Maps listing moves first.
Should we write pages for jobs we rarely do?
No. A page for a job you cannot quote within a day brings an enquiry you will lose. Write pages for what your press handles well and your team can price from memory.
Do we need to advertise?
Not for urgent jobs, which are won on a fast quote and visible samples. Ads help for a specific push, such as wedding invitations from October or a new packaging line.
Should we check the label text a food brand sends us?
Yes, before the plates are made. Point out a missing FSSAI licence number, net quantity or MRP, even though the brand is responsible for them. A reprint costs both of you, and the brand remembers the printer who caught it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
