Land surveying companies · Buyer persona

Know who is calling before they say what they need surveyed.

A buyer persona for a land surveying company describes the kinds of people who hire you, what each is worried about and what each needs from a quote. GullySales builds them from your past jobs, and uses them to write pages and replies that fit each caller.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For land surveying companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The plot buyer is frightened of a loss”

A buyer before registration wants reassurance that area and boundary match the papers. They need plain language, a clear list of papers and a person who calls back. Write replies for this person in short sentences, name the papers, and promise nothing about the result.

  • “The family dividing land is carrying a quarrel”

Heirs sharing ancestral land arrive with old tension. The surveyor who stays neutral and writes everything down is the one who is asked back. Keep the replies even-handed, record each instruction in writing and send the same note to every heir.

  • “The builder's land team compares formats”

A project manager wants the drawing in a file type the architect opens, a clear scope and a delivery date. They judge you on the drawing, not the welcome. Send a sample drawing in the format their architect uses, with the scope and the delivery arrangement in plain lines.

  • “The advocate or banker needs a document they can file”

A lawyer or valuer wants a sketch that an office will accept. They care about signatures, scale and how you label survey numbers. Label survey numbers clearly and mention the scale, so they can file the sketch without a second call.

What we do

What we deliver for land surveying companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Persona sheets for four buyer types

One page each for plot buyers, families, builders and professionals, covering worry, questions, papers and decision makers.

Result: Your team can name who is on the phone.

  2. Question scripts for the first call

The few questions to ask each type, in the order that gets to survey number, village and purpose.

Result: Every first call collects the same facts.

  3. Page and reply wording per persona

The same survey described in the words each buyer uses, on the website and in WhatsApp replies.

Result: Each buyer reads copy written for them.

  4. Decision map for builders

Who asks for the survey, who approves the fee and who receives the drawing in a builder's office.

Result: You know who to follow up with.

  5. Review of past jobs

A look at your last jobs sorted by buyer type to show which persona brought the work you want more of.

Result: You see which buyer type fits your office.

  6. Persona check against signed jobs

Each signed job is tagged with its persona, so the sheets are corrected when the real buyers differ from what the office assumed.

Result: The personas match the people who sign.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the buyer persona work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

How do you build personas without invented data?
From your own jobs, enquiry history and the people in your team. We write what you tell us and what the records show. Nothing is taken from outside statistics.
Can one office serve all four types?
Yes, if replies and pricing conversations differ. A plot buyer and a layout developer need different scopes. We help you separate them on paper. Your lead surveyor reviews every persona sheet before it is used, so the pages match how your office works.
How often do personas change?
When your work changes, such as starting highway corridor surveys. We revise them when you add a service or a buyer type, and your team confirms the edit.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
